Have we as consumers become dependent on organisations like Which? and lost our sense of self-assurance? We at Ebac think so! Learn More - bit.ly/2lFamKA
Is this a washing machine version of dieselgate where manufacturers are designing machines to sepecifically pass the tests that Which use to gain their best buy tag and boost sales and ignoring what is best for the consumer, the environment and consumers clothes? Which say that they use ink, blood and oil stains on their test strips of material for testing and wash at 40 deg centigrade. To me those are all severe stains and would need more intensive washing than a normally soiled clothing . Today most clothing is worn once then put in the wash basket so is lightly soiled. If a machine is removing those severe stains at 40 degrees then it is either taking much longer to perform the wash with long soak periods ( some modern machines take upto 4 and a half hours for a wash! ) or they are increasing the mechanical wear on the clothing by performing long tumbles. This all damages the clothing reducing its lifespan and in the case of synthetics or mixed fibers releases harmful microfibers into the environment. The manufacturers of Persil which was first produced in 1907 and have long experience of washing clothes advise on their website that all the stains used in the Which test are pre treated to ensure that they are removed effectively. I would much rather buy a machine that washes normally using energy, water and time efficiently with the option for a more intense wash where needed than one that washed intensively wasting energy, water, time and releasing more microfibers just to pass Which's tests to boost sales.
They need to have the in Curry's shops in London, I bought a Bosch last year, but I have heard of Ebac until, 2 days ago, if I knew I would of got an Ebac, not to worry my next washing will be an Ebac, Also can Ebac make the paddles from steel and not plastic, as Bosch have steel paddles in their drum.
I wish you guys made a washer dryer, I hate my 2 month old Hoover unit, blown up already 😡 yet an old Hotpoint WM12 I have saved from scrap in the unit keeps going... And is repairable by a home engineer!
It's true actually. I know that I pretreat any bad stains as a matter of course. I've started using lower temps and quicker washes in my (not Ebac, but my next one will be) machine & my washing is fine! Meaning it had been "overwashed" previously.
It appears that Ebac use plastic tubs. Stainless steel tubs would be more durable, albeit more expensive compared to plastic tubs. Maybe stainless steel tubs could be included on the higher-end models that cost more?
Which are an impartial consumer group that test products side by side and compare the features and performance. They have no vested interests. They just give you the results. They do not rate Ebac very well because according to their test other machines are better.
I have an Ebac, it's great. I just wish they also made tumble riers and maybe even dishwashers.
Got one, love it.
By far the best machine I've had
I've had Bosch, miele and aeg in the past.
In my opinion ebac is by far the best

this is the first time I heard this name but the ad is so powerful that I am will give it a go for sure when buying the next machine!
A National advertising campaign would be good as many people haven’t heard of this British quality brand
How do I level the machine so it's not rocking back and forth?👍

My WM38 needs new shockers, did the bearing on it 20 years ago and still going but will probably get an Ebac

I have an Ebac washing machine and I can tell you the tub is stainless steel. It's super quiet. I've had it three years and it's excellent.
