Nishiyama originally wanted the protagonist of SF1 to be a cool American blonde guy in a jacket, but Ryu ended up becoming the protagonist. Then, Nishiyama's team went to work at SNK and while working on Fatal Fury decided to go with his original idea for the SF1 protagonist and that became Terry! And now Terry is in Street Fighter! We've come full circle.
At 2:55 - This a reference to a mechanic in the original Fatal Fury games called "Lane Change". This allowed characters to move into the background of the stage with a command or from the background to the front again. If you pressed punch or kick at same time, you would do a hopping attack.
The move Terry does at 3:05 I think it's a nod to the earlier Fatal Fury games back when they were lane fighters (think traditional 2D but your character can jump into the background and foreground) I recommend watching rooflemonger's breakdown vid of Terry to see all deep dive and easter eggs that this trailer has!
You should give Street Fighter 6 a try. It's got good single player content, and a control type specifically designed for newcomers complete with auto combos and 1 button special moves

his gameplay just looks really cool. in my reaction to the Year 2 announcement I wasn't too keen on Terry and Mai replacing what could have been Falke and Menat (based on the World Tour stuff that hinted at Bison, Falke, Menat, and Elena) especially as someone who doesn't really know anything about SNK games but seeing Terry's gameplay gets me a excited cause it just looks fun
Power Geyser is lvl 1 if it hit you can burn 3 drive gauges to extend to Twin Geyser and you can extend again to Triple Geyser if you use 1 more drive gauge.
It's level 2. 1) it was cancelled from an ex/od move. You can't super cancel into level 1 from ex. 2) The camera zooms into the character when he's doing it, this only happens for level 2 and level 3.
he has two level 2. buster wolf and triple geyser. but triple geyser can only be accessed after using level 1 like a rekka super you gonna need to spend drive gauge for double geyser and use 2nd meter for the triple geyser. his CA will either be his movie whirlwind attack or his double pommel screen wide explosion. like his hsdm for 2003/kof11/kof13. or his buster launcher in kof15 , kof14 hsdm is good as well seeing that he'll going to slam you down back like ken's CA

Terry is not the only SNK cool character, there's plenty more, but I'm glad you're warming up to him as a non-SNK follower.
