The sort of film I can watch over and over again. The trouble with Roger Moore is that he made it look so easy you can easily forget you are watching great never to be repeated performances. Roger Moore, the best Bond!
There's a song about the James Bond movies wherein the opening line is: "I've seen you on the screen, it's you that I adore / Ever since I was a boy, I wanted to be like Roger Moore."
yep his movies were quite adventurous with the places of visit and missions with meaning he was quite a character ,indeed id say he is my fav of the bonds but sean conery was a legend and my fav was never say never again
Could not have said it better!
agreed!
Nope daniel did it the damn well
My favorite James Bond, great man, rest in peace honorable Sir Roger George Moore 007!!!!😢🇬🇧
This was hands down one of Roger Moore's best bond films. RIP Sir Roger
I grew up with Roger Moore. He is Bond to me. And I really like Connery as well. I love this film as well. I have to go with Spy Who Loved Me and Man With the Golden Gun as my favorites. Most people will say Spy who Loved Me or For Your Eyes Only as Moore's best Bond.
Easily one of the best films in the series.
One of the best Bond sings too.
RIP Mr Moore, Roger Moore
You will be missed, but never forgotten
A 00 is truly missed . Sir Moore was a champ
This was, without a doubt, the best of Moore's Bond outings. I love this movie.
My second favourite Moore film, only after Octopussy.
Tommy Carr also my two favorite moore bonds but this ones a tad better imo
tasteegold7772
I agree, this is made better because it comes after "Moonraker". The worse Moore Bond film. Moore is a very close second best bond. Sean Connery will always be the best.
So "Moonraker"was better than "Live and let die"?
Love the scenes filmed in GREECE!
The 80s! What a time!
true said... the glorious 80's... me here born in the wrong time.. and I envy them those who enjoyed the youth of 80's...
@@ErfanElahi Yes, I was 12yr old boy when I saw this. Am here, to watch this trailer. It is very hard to believe now in 2019, that the world was such a beautiful place, and life was such a Joy then.
Agree ! And Cortina was ( and is )
stunning !
Best Bond film from the late great Roger Moore. He played such an awesome Bond....loved both the movie & the Sheena Easton musical Bond theme from I was a kid until now..
I watched this again a couple of days ago, what a great movie, I could never pick a favourite Bond movie, I love them all, but this would definitely be in my top five. Roger Moore was a legend.
Roger Moore was the best James Bond, this was best Bond movie, and the best Bond movie theme, we will miss you Roger R.I.P.
My favourite bond film of all time. I love Moore's humour.
I would agree on this!
My favorite Moore film, definitely underrated! RIP Sir Roger.
As a kid I watched this movie on vhs like a million times.
Mike Mc same!!!!
Yeah, I was so young that I didn't get the plot or story. I was just there for the action.
one of Roger Moore's best a really good movie a really good time and Carole bouquet is unbelievably beautiful and apparently she still is
This was my favourite Bond film as a kid. I still love it.
Fantastic
@@1234567robbieAll Roger Moore James Bond movies are great. My favorites from Roger Moore are The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy and A View To A Kill. Here is my ranking of all Roger Moore James Bond movies from best to worst:
1. The Spy Who Loved Me
2. Octopussy
3. For Your Eyes Only
4. A View To A Kill
5. Moonraker
6. Live And Let Die
7. The Man With the Golden Gun
A very classy Roger Moore-James Bond film and spy thriller, which contains some really stunningly filmed locations. I can still remember going to see this movie in the cinema with a friend, as a young teen. So it's one in the Bond series that really left an impression on me, as the first I saw on the big screen. It also has a most beautiful opening theme song and track by Sheena Easton, and one of my favourite Bond ladies in the gorgeous, exotic looking Carole Bouquet. I like that she was a strong and rather fiercely intelligent, leading woman, not just eye candy or another easy conquest.
I was 11 and 'sneeked' into the cinema to watch as it was rated above 12y. Next month i'll visit the meteora monasteries for a revieval. Best James Bond with Roger Moore! RIP
I don't get why some people hate this film, I'll take a good spy story over gimmicks thank you.
No one hates this movie it’s considered a top tier bond movie
I think some fans fall into the habit of easily comparing it to the high scale adventures of The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker as this film is more scaled back than those two. I enjoy this film on its own merit for being gritty and a good Cold War spy thriller, it’s doesn’t have to be like Moonraker. It’s good that the series attempted to scale back a few times after having high octane and campy fun
R.I.P. Sir Roger Moore!
thanks for great work !!
I missed that man Roger
This was to have been Roger Moore's last Bond film. He announced his retirement from the role shortly after it was released. American actor James Brolin was selected to replace Moore in Octopussy but before contracts could be signed, Sean Connery announced that filming of Never Say Never Again would begin soon and it was originally scheduled to be released on the same weekend as Octopussy. Since Connery was still popular among Bond fans, Bond producer Albert Broccoli was afraid that Connery's film would outperform his own and since he believed that an established Bond actor would do better going up against Connery, Broccoli asked Moore to return for one more film. At first Moore refused but when Broccoli offered him $4 million, Roger reconsidered and Broccoli rescinded his offer to Brolin. If it hadn't been for Sean Connery, Roger Moore would not have played James Bond after FYEO.
I didn't know that , good we got roger two more times , I enjoyed he's last two bond films
@@simonp7095 Yes, he was great in Octopussy. A View To A Kill was not that good IMO and Roger was clearly too old by then to play Bond. He should have retired after Octopussy. Maybe Broccoli could not find an actor suitable for the role.
Cubby Broccoli made the right decision
@@georgfriedrichhandel4390 The producers wanted him to stay and paid zillions for him to do so, thank you very much
@@sampuatisamuel9785 Yes they did. The normally stingy Broccoli had to pay Moore a king's ransom to return for Octopussy. Despite his age (he was 54 when he made Octopussy), I think Moore did a superb job in that film but he was clearly too old to be Bond in A View to a Kill. Octopussy should have been his last Bond movie.
RIP Sir Roger. This was my favourite of your Bond films. It proved you could do something a little grittier.
The best Bond movie, in the greatest era of Bond movies
R.I.P Roger Moore (1927-2017) and George Carlin (1937-2008)
I miss both Roger Moore and George Carlin so much and I always had a soft spot for Roger Moore's Bond Era from Live and Let Die to For Your Eyes Only. Roger Moore was a very good and brilliant James Bond actor, For Your Eyes Only was an excellent bond film, and For Your Eyes Only was the last great Roger Moore bond film ever made in 1981. I also really love George Carlin. George Carlin was the best American comedian of all time, Jammin' in New York along with Back in Town from 1992 to 1996 are both my favorite George Carlin specials, and George Carlin was also very good as the role of Mr. Conductor on Shining Time Station.
The 40th anniversary today. Still one of the best in the franchise!
For me, this is a very underrated bond film.
This is how trailers are meant to be done, to show as much as possible from the film so you could get the feel. People were never spoiled like today, it may goes to show how people's perception has changed.
ちょっと気になったんだけど、コロンボが時々食べてるおつまみみたいなの分かる人いるかな?
ナッツ類かなぁ?
They did spoil that Kristatos was the villain.
@@paddystrongjaw9995 exactly, this is not at all how trailers are meant to be done
The best theme of a Bond film.
The best Bond of all time Roger Moore, with glamor and education
My favorite one and always......
Moore's best performance and one of the most underrated of the Bond films.
Roger Moore was the best May he Rest In Peace❤️✝️
one of the best bond movies , my personal favourite

"For Your Eyes Only"!
It's Roger Moore as Ian Fleming's James Bond 007!
Rest in peace Sir Roger Moore
What a wonderful movie!!!! One of the best Bond films!!!!
Roger Moore had the best voice for Bond.
The most realistic Moore Bond movie
And the darkest Moore bond film
@@lucariothehorrorguy5641 I agree bro! I do love all Roger Moore James Bond movies. They're all great and entertaining.
@@bouya642 i kinda wasnt a fan for most if not all his movies nor comedic bond since i grew up with Craig (Dalton is my current fav now tho). But he was kinda enjoyable and i really liked both TSWLM and FYEO due to their balance of goofy and serious.
@@lucariothehorrorguy5641I do love George Lazenby as James Bond and On Her Majesty's Secret Service is my favourite. Timothy Dalton as James Bond is the perfection. Both The Living Daylights and License To Kill were perfect imo. Most of Roger Moore James Bond movies are perfect too. The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy and A View To A Kill were all perfect imo. Most of Sean Connery James Bond movies are also perfect. From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball and You Only Live Twice were all perfect imho. A few from Pierce Brosnan are also perfect. GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies for me. The ones I did enjoy from Daniel Craig are Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and No Time To Die
Explosive!
Exclusive!
For your amazement!
This Bond,
is for you!
This Bond,
is "For Your Eyes Only"!
No one comes close to 007...
...When 007 comes close to you!
Definitely my favourite of the Moore films. Some great chases and stunts and I like that even though the countries it takes place in are all relatively close to one another, it still manages to feel like a globe-trotting adventure
loved this movie! Roger more my second best! and i admire carole bonquet....she is so beautiful, wish i was in the past :)
One of my favourite Roger Moore Bonds!
My All time favorite movie wonderful superb great. Roger Moore. James bond.
1:54 Cassandra Harris, who played Countess Lisl von Schlaf
Fun fact : She was the wife of Pierce Brosnan (another Bond Actor) during that time and in fact they had a Lunch with the film producer Albert Broccoli during filming. She always want to see him playing James Bond which was fullfilled when he starred in GoldenEye succeeding Timothy Dalton, Roger Moore's succesor as James Bond.
RIP to Cassandra Harris and also Sir Roger Moore.
The very best Bond R. Moore!
R.I.P Roger Moore
One of my favorite Bond films!
I love this movie! Roger Moore is definitely one of the very best James Bond actors!
Róger Moore era espectacular para mí fue el mejor James Bond 🔫🍸👙🇬🇧
Superb Stunt work. The James Bond series gave us the Best of the Best!
Excelente película, muy entretenida, de las mejores de Roger 👌
James bond 007 best bond ever miss u sir.
My favorite Bond
2:50 O the good old days - i used to own a trails Suzuki bike with the round indicators, and Greece was a wonderful country back then.
loved this one, but my favorite moore outings without a doubt would have to be Man with the Golden Gun, my personal favorite.
Man with a golden gun was moore's worst film as bond!
Ye man people don't like that but I think it's great
my favorite bond ... sir roger moore
r.i.p good man
I love how one of the darker bond films is stuck between the two most lighthearted films in the franchise
To recreate the mountainside chase, I stole my maths teacher's Citroen and drove it through a wood with some angry tramps after me.
Sure you did
sounds fun
This was thee bestest ever Bond Movie... With thee bestest theme song ever.
The best bond ever! Fact.
0:16 Happy 40th Birthday Ian Fleming's For Your Eyes Only James Bond 007.
1981 - 2021.
40 Years Of James Bond Movie Magic Family Fun Fantasy Epic Groundbreaking Music Comedy Action Adventure And Excitement.
My Name Is Bond. James Bond. X
This is my favorite Roger Moore bond movie, not cartoonish (Spy Who Loved Me) or campy (Live And Let Die). He was also less of a clown in that film and you could actually believe that he's a killer. And Carole Bouquet was of course real feast for the eyes... for your eyes only.
Buddy, they kill Blofeld in the most anti-climatic way possible, really? THE BEST Roger Moore movie?
Live and let die was not campy, diamonds are forever was campy and the spy who loved me was an extrodinary escape fantasy film
@@michaellyon7226 The Spy Who Loved Me is considered one of the best Bond films and is listed in the top 5 best Bond films made.
Bond movies aren't getting enough respect for the quality of storytelling. Everything is just so smooth and pleasant here. Few movies achieve that, high brow, low brow, doesn't really matter.
The woman were gorgeous, settings scenic, action top notch, humor....Roger Moore was MY James Bond!
RIP. Wow what a star he was very good Mr. Roger Moore.
Awesome!... RIP Roger Moore.. thank you 👍🇳🇿
One of my favorite Bond Films :-)
my first bond in the cinemas
Thanks Micheal G. WILSON. 007 Love it
I love this one, it really stands out!
I don't know who thought of the sight joke of Bond's Lotus' anti-theft device, but it's a great moment in the series.
Still my favourite bond movie!
this trailer gives everything away
fantastic movie .. love the dirtbikes with spike tires n guns
This is my Favorite Roger Moore Bond movie
1:23 Julian Glover being a villain was supposed to be a twist, the trailer just gave it away.
Yeah they should’ve put Columbo there instead.
Excellent movie
One of my favorite Bond movies, and my pick for Sir Roger's best, but what an AWFUL trailer this is. It gives everything away but the finale. You're shown that Julian Glover is the villain so you automatically know Topol/Colombo won't be, you see every part of the car chase, you see how James meets Melina (including the crossbow), you see the fate of Locque, you see the best stunt in the ski chase. Only the cliff and the monastery are left out.
How did people avoid spoilers back then? Did they simply accept that a basic preview was going to spoil all the best parts? I hate modern trailers for their formulaicness and lazy use of dialogue and scenes clearly shot only for the trailers, but I can say at least that they don't typical give the whole movie away.
OH THANKS A BUNCH... your comment is a spoiler
to a movie that has been out since before I was born lol really? best avoid comments before watching movies as ppl tend to talk about the video/film there discussing :-)
+JamesE i have short term memory loss so every time i see this film i cant remember what happened... Now hes spoiled it 😠
+JamesE i have short term memory loss so every time i see this film i cant remember what happened... Now hes spoiled it 😠
jeremy western
Fair play I guess but rly tho if you wanna watch a film avoid comments as its all ppl do man. Im the same i can barely remember this one
Wonderful ❤️
Wonderful movie !
R.I.P. RM
Moore is the best bond.
At 54 Roger Moore was still fine as Bond and showed no sign of aging yet. Sadly there was no M as Bernard Lee died either before or during production and was not in it. Lots of action and chases and a new Bond girl with Carole Bouquet who I never heard of at the time. She performed quite well and don't forget Max the macaw who got his own featured scenes at the very end.
R.I.P
My best film movie ever is james bond 007 and best actor is Sir Rogger Moore
Mr . Moore I am big fan I miss you so much
Movie turns 40 today!!!
My late dad had this recorded like many on vhs tape
Still one of Roger Moore's finest outings as James Bond, he was actually almost recast at one point but it was a game of poker from Eon Productions testing the waters
Lady Diana and Prince Charles attended the premiere
Made $195 million worldwide
This was John Glen's directorial debut
Lynn-Holly Johnson was a real figure-skater
Plus I had no idea it was the first time a trans actress Caroline Cossey played one of the pool extras
Sheena Easton's singing is so touching it almost makes you want to cry, had no idea she was Scottish and she was born 40 miles from Sean Connery, she even did a BBC documentary of herself, the song reached #4 on the Billboard 100
Melina played by Carole Bouquet is one of my favorite Bond girls, a woman out for revenge and isn't just a stand-in
It's the most gritty and realistic Bond movie since From Russia With Love
It can be sober at times and a bit lengthy and the villain isn't interesting
But I really like the stunts; the ski chase is my favorite and the CV2 car scene isn't too shabby
It's good that the movies over time have evolved changing with the current aesthetic being edgier and more aggressive
This one in particular delves into the sidebar industries and human cost of espionage
james bond movies will remain the best n valuables like gold.....jojo john i like it all the titles from sean connery to daniel
But What Is With The Old Roger Moore?😐
the old roger moore doesnt matter coz everything Live and Time comes to die but his work will still give peoples Leisure, entartaiment etc.Like sir christopher dies.so every will born..Live.then dies.only all might will remain Forever.
My hero on an only
From 2:25 to 2:32 there is a clear message!
The Best.
Roger i would say looks younger that Daniel does in no time to die both around 53
Just watched this movie again on ITV 4 1st July. Definitely still an enjoyable romp. The director, producers and writers were correct in downplaying the gadget theme and returning to back to basics spy plot. By the way I loved Topol in this movie. However I have a problem with the basic premise. Bond is sent to discover the location of those after ATAC. None of the subsequent great snow scenes, love interest etc got him anywhere. We eventually see Bond on the Havelock boat with Havelock's daughter looking at a file and with the help of the parrot discover the location of the sunken St Georges. He could of done that in the beginning. It reminds me of the basic premise in Lord of the Rings. Frodol could of been flown by the Eagles to Mordoor, and dropped the ring down the bleeding volcano. Lol. ps much to my sadness, I didn't know that Rodger Moore had passed until 2 years after...shocked
Is the Best Movie .
Best Bond girl in this!! Carole bouquet is her name, 1957 born leo. She is 62 now, just saw her image on wiki, she looks old obviously. Youth really is magical. Roger the best bond!
Very good movie👍😃
He still has the looks in this film
