The riviera is a coastline that spans from France into Italy (or the other way around depending on how you look at it) and both countries have bistro’s so I really feel like this is foreshadowing what kind of world were going to get 🧐
I was thinking about a place the Expansion might be based, Rome, the fountain kind of gave me that idea.
I’m honestly in love with both of these, I make sure not to get every kit. Just because they are there. However, I can’t wait for these. This is very much going to be Italy. Because both of these are inspired by. Speaking of, yes I’m too excited. I made a beautiful inspired one bedroom Italian home. I love it so much. 😍 I’m happy people have been downloading it, I really appreciate people’s love for my builds. I never would have thought I was good enough at building. 🥰

The pool kit doesn't actually look that bad. I was worried that it would be bad. I did use the curtains from paranormal stuff once for arches to make it more medium looking but that's the only time I've put them on arches. You do have to use move objects to do that.
I love the candle sconce that looks like it belongs in the Castle Estate Kit. I’ll use it with all my castles.

Right? Proper diving boards, slides, rounded edges, or the poolside bar from Sims3 would have been fantastic. And what happened to the Marco Polo game from Sims 2?
@@IronSeagull I'm hoping the expansion pack will add more pool items like pool basketball and pool slides but I'm still happy about those pool waterfalls.
Some are saying bistro is DLC for DLC, i dont think so. If one only has base game you can tick as a lounge or bar and your sims are off for a drink there
The table from bistro also remind me of the bistro table in Sims 3. I always used that table and I think I will use it alot. I wish we could have got a gameplay kit with the pool kit because this would have been good with slides or diving board or even a pool bar.
Maybe the bistro kit has a lot type or a bar that can serve more than the base game items, like coffees and a few meals.
hey so did anyone not using usd see that the price for kits went up? it used to be 49nok in norway and now the party essentials and urban homage kits are 59nok.

Also the description is really selling it and adding functionality to the rocks does change the value of the kit for sure
The content in these Kits look good to me and I would find uses for them in a number of my builds. I guess the new marketing idea is to tie Kit content to larger packs to get simmers to buy more Kits if they want to expand larger pack content. I do hope the rock waterfalls are interactive. I hate it when so much great looking content is just environment boosting only.

The same way that rentals was only for jungle adventures and became base game feature after snowy escape so that we don’t get anymore vacation like worlds what irks me is the Sims team should’ve made a base game in the first place instead of making us buy packs and then releasing it base game makes no sense

I know I won't get them, but I *want* gameplay kits to return, I'm not gonna stop being sad about it (not anymore than you'll give up the dream of having cars. I don't like cars, but if they put them in I'll be happy for you because I know you miss them
I hate to admit it but I kind of like both of these kits. Worth it at 5 bucks a piece though? Definitely not.
To me it is worth $6.99 CAD. The stores for both Sims 2 and 3 sold individual items for $1-$3 dollars. A room set, approximately the same as a build kit, could be $10-$20. I much prefer kits to the extortionate store.

It’s the same as we’d pay for a cheap hamburger in the US.
pierisim has a multipart coffee shop cc set with a very similar vintage European vibe for free. Felixadre has a set similar to the riviera kit, also free. Those are just the two that came to mind immediately, there is so much cc that looks like it’s been duped by these kits.
I don't appreciate the kit with the sims sitting outside with their coffee drinks. like how did they get served these drinks? the idea of what they are "selling" is so divisive to me.

The rock fountain in the pool kit look great. Just yesterday I was looking for good curtains to use with an arch so those might be useful too.
Th chairs in the bistro kit look very similar to the ones from paranormal stuff.
Some nice looking items in both kits. The question is if they are worth 5€ each?

They need to NOT put them out for everyone to SEE them. Its obviously going to have peiple thinking there is one when there really isn't.

The French Riviera is in France. The English Riviera is in Devon (the bay formed by Torquay, Paignton etc). I'm sure there are other countries with warm, beachy rivieras.
