It would have made perfect sense to add hotels to this pack. That would have beefed it up a lot and given players who are not romance centred in their game something else to buy the pack for.
I also would assume Romantic Boundaries would also allow you to make a Sim automatically reject any romantic interaction from another Sim while in a relationship. If so that would be a nice update.
Hope that's base game because when other sims flirt with a sim in a relationship their partner can get upset with them though it was an interaction they had no control over
@@surethabadenhorstyeah, sometimes true in toxic relationships too. The Sims team seem to want to avoid toxic dinamics though and it would be great to avoid sims blaming their partners for others actions. I'd also love to have somewhat weighted cheating as well. A flirt is not the same as dating, woohooing, or having an actual cheating partner.
@@anniegurre4060Well I do believe in this sense they can’t win. Sometime I totally agree with complaints, but sometimes its like “are you serious” cause if they expand a feature out someone will be like “well now you’ve invalidated the fact I bought” (insert pack here). Which has made cohesion across the god-awful number of packs slim to non-existent.
Have any other non-Spanish speakers translated the names of these places coz they’re pretty on the nose actually 😂 Ciudad Enamorada: city of love (being in love) Vista Hermosa: beautiful view Beso rapido: kiss quickly or quick kiss, not sure Plaza Mariposa: Butterfly Square Nuevo Corazón: new heart Mirador del Amor: love viewpoint Laguna del Abrazo: Hug beach Sudor: sweat
I hope we can craft and sell the jewelry from this pack if we have Crystal Creations. I would also like more jealousy drama like Sims with the jealous traits could get into fights and become enemies with the sim their partner is cheating on them with and be more susceptible to heartbreak death. Also, waiting for my rock band expansion 🙏🏼 🥺
Is anyone else concerned how that new flirty aura for maxing out the romance skill will make it so your sims wind up in romantic relationships with everyone? I know they said they're adding in a few things to set how your sim behaves but what if you want that set to be open to polyamory but not with just anyone? I'm probably not explaining well but I hope some of you get it and can let me know how you feel about the potential issue(s) as well.
My concern is that sims who are in a flirty mood give me the creeps! I mean the sim’s version of “flirty” is gross. I swear I’m not Agnes Crumplebottom!
Not worth it, not buying it. It's literally just a shitty copycat of Wonderful Whims. Plus it's really irritating that when they FINALLY ad polyamory it's behind a paywall.
I wished they added physical attraction as well. Maybe I want a shallow sim. Oh well, I am excited to see what the world looks like fully. Happy to have a Latino based world. ❤
I agree that the blog post offered more information than the teaser trailer. But, I think the point of those trailers was meant to excite players to be looking forward to the new pack. The full trailer and livestream, if done well, should flesh out all or most of the pack's features.
Long rant-y post! A bit mad we can't genuinely have sims attracted to thin/fat types like in TS2. (I don't know about 3, didn't get to the chance to play past Pets because my computer died and my second computer was too old to handle it.) But I'm pretty much certain EA would claim it's either triggering or would promote obesity. Neither of which are true. A lot of my female sims are fat and I headcannon that their husbands prefer them that way, not in a gross way. Some people just look better fat anyway. Excited for the pack as a whole, more annoyed for the forced and not optional (we've never had an optional one) update that eludes to polyamory. From my understanding, it sounds way more like casual dating people with no jealousy involved. I'm wholly against polyamory or even open marriages because that's not how I was raised and prefer a standard marriage, even in sims. But I am glad the sims team is learning that _actual adults_ play this game for the most part and it's not just young children and tweens. Like, get a clue. I don't mind a tiny bit of spice in my games because my sims woohoo too. I'll have to put off buying this pack for an unknown amount of time, but I'll get it eventually. Edit: And I kind of don't get the 'this should have been a game pack.' complaints. I mean, we're getting a new career and actual (rabbit hole most likely) counseling! Along with the other stuff, that's a lot. But I can see where this may have worked better as a game pack, but we seem to be getting a lot of things.
Since I really have never liked the Emotional Death in TS4, I wish they had a way in options to turn it off completely, I mean it's not realistic or anything, so why make it where we can't choose not to have it? I don't even think there is a mod for it either! Sure it's not as bad as it was when the game first came out, at least since sometime after Get Famous, where my Sim died not long after I started playing a new game of happiness, and I only had one Sim in my household, so I had to start over with a new Sim! I know it's not as easy to die of one of the emotions, but I would still like the option to turn it off!
5:49 The neck kiss isn't a new interaction, my Sims can do that already. VERY welcome to have an attraction system that includes personality, not just appearances. The fear of intimacy and fear of being alone are nice touches, not to mention the counsellor career.
Last time I checked it was a Teen Only interaction and and needed a mod to unlock it for older age groups. Haven't checked without mods in recently though.
9:40 I wonder how this is defined. Will it be just strait exclusive or not or will it be exclusive with up to one sim, two sims, three sims, no sims, or something similar. Not something I will use much, but I imagine Don will have his settings tweaked a lot.
8:46 Every time I hear an illusion to the turn ons and turn offs it makes me think more and more of infant and toddler quirks. I think it very possible that these are not something you can set (without cheats) and are instead something you discover. This could be interesting, but it could also be frustrating.
I keep wondering if they are counting the vibrating bed as a unique woohoo spot. Or possibly the fountain or "Beso Rapido" room others have speculated.
Definently agree with your point that Love Struck sounds more interesting from the blog post. Originally I wasn’t planning on getting this one at all, but now I’m thinking i’ll hold off till it goes on sale. Its interesting but not worth paying expansion pack pricing for.
While I do agree, I have to say the entire franchise is steeped in stereotypes! If the pack were set in Paris, it would also be a stereotype and we wouldn’t have anything approximating a Latin American world. I long for the ability to create our own worlds! As to your point, I’m very interested to see what simmers from Latin America think of this pack.
@@virgosims2368 there is a new “date planning system”. To me it sounds like the wedding planning system. I could be wrong, which is why I am waiting to see the livestream.

I hope they move the question “ask if single” from being romantic to a neutral question. My sims isn’t flirting with you- she’s just nosy! lol
True, that’s annoying lol

3rd woohoo spot is the fountain; remember the line in the seasons of love roadmap video "Fountain of Desire. Made waves but we woohoo'd anyway"
I love that we get walking trails in every pack now I think we need them in all worlds they should go back and add them and add holding hands
100% agree with this. They add extra touch to each world but the sims team hates to go back retroactively it seems🥲💔

I think we know the answer to this one 🤭
I'm glad the blankets have a picnic option. Most likely the bear rugs do as well.
It's sad that my first thought when seeing these new features is wondering how many of them are actually going to work.
The renting a room is just like the batuu rabbit hole u bet
Flora and fauna could be a fairies hint as those are the names of the fairies in sleeping beauty
Could be, but flora and fauna are also used to describe plant life and animal life, respectively.
The romance dinamics is what sound interesting the most to me

“There’s mods for this.”
“But console players! Not everyone uses mods!”
“Bootlicker!”
And so on, and so forth.
