Unlocked Door Handle on Jotul f400, Oh Boy it’s Getting Very Hot!

- Operator error here. A log fell onto the ceramic door glass window. After it was pushed back onto the burning pile the door was shut but not locked. After a few minutes we’re getting into an over fire situation. The vid shows the burn with the damper Fully Shut! The door was closed tight but not locked which makes it fully airtight. The cuts are about 3-6 minutes between each new cut. Thanks for watching and Be Careful !!!!!
The Jotul F400 is one of the worst stoves on the market.
The unlocked handle was my fault, I just didn’t lock it. I like the F400 (except for the smoke it releases when opening the door), but I have not been able to compare it to other stoves. What stove do you like?

@@ESPE2M1 I did have a VC Defiant about 30+ years ago. That thing was a beast but I was young and burned green wood in it. That’s all we had back then. I had a Jotul 3 from the 1980’s that I burned for 20 years. I really liked that stove, but this f400 that replaced it is Pumping out a bunch more heat. Burning smoke with secondaries really does make more usable heat in my case. Thanks for your comments.
Why would you say that...Mine works perfectly
I had my F400 for 10years and love it! Most people don't know how to run a woodstove. If you don't have a woodshed your tryin to burn wet wood.
I have been running this woodstove for 20 years, it is awesome! If you don’t like it you’re doing something wrong, I burn five cords per year
