There has not been any quad in the last months that excited me like this one, regardless the size. Everything is just perfect for me, every single detail.
My 1st twig was built with the iflight AIO whoop board... That build burned to the ground on my 2nd pack when a mosfet burned out. My 2nd time around I built the perfect micro. AUW is 70.1 grams, 1106 6000kv motors, iflight 16x16 stack & predator nano. I’m running a battery strap and 450-550mah 3s packs. Hard core ripping still gets 4 minutes of flight. Less aggressive /proximity flying with only 4 or 5 punch outs gets me 5+ minutes on gnb 550. No breaks yet surprising. The carbon has stood up to all my crashing so far
And I primarily use avan 3” tri-blades. I started out using HQ 3020 & 3030 bi-blades but the gemfan 3025 bi-blades are much better in my opinion on my build. Eventually I tried the avan props just to see how it went & they haven’t come off since
I love this frame! Swapped a broken sailfly to this frame running Gemfan 2540’s. motor wire lengths were perfect if you unwind the wires. After the camera broke swapped in the eachine vtx with the Caddx turbo. Couldn’t use the supplies canopy, too flimsy so into the sailfly canopy they went. Worked great. Have a few of the 3D printed Canopies coming? Hopefully they won’t be too tall :) I have sailfly hardware on other frames and this one so far flys the best and takes a beating! Thank you Nick for mentioning buying the sailfly for the goodies! Best deal around. Have a couple more frames coming to swap the little sailfly fleet over and do one build with mamba motors, beta aio, xm+, eachine vtx and Runcam racer nano. Thanks again Nick for all the reviews and info!

You made an interesting comment, and although fairly new to the hobby, it's the primary reason I'm already addicted -- "the quad is therapeutic". Based on that, what would you recommend as the most "therapeutic" quad? "Cine"-based? Race setup? Or do acro-based quads such as the Rooster or FlossStyle give you more of that feeling? One thing I am finding is that 3" or even smaller make so much sense to me for so many reasons.
I would think it would depend heavily on the individual. I like the sense of speed and intensity/super focus. While I am flying I might not be smiling, but as soon as I am done I just feel better/good. When I fly with my kids in googles I find it very fun too, they ask me to do certain things and the younger ones make sounds like they are on a ride of some sort. The short of it is, the type of flight you like is likely going to be the most therapeutic. I would add some days I want to slow down and have a less intense smooth flight.

I tried the HQ Bi 3x2 props also. I just thought it flew smoother and was easier to tune with the tri-blades, I had trouble getting the tune right with the bi-blades. I just needed more time that I didnt have to get it right. IMO, these motors rip on 2s with the tri-blades and I do not fly slow at all.. so we are looking at about 2:30 max on the 2s 650. Flight time seemed improve with the 3s 520 actually but only by about 15 to 20 secs maybe - and its also very fast. Tons of float with both batteries also.. lots of fun. Motors did get hot with the 3s -but its was also 101 degrees outside. I did not adjust my pids the first time when I went from 2s to 3s and had a fly away upon arm. be careful with that I was using BF 4.04 I think
4:38 is where the accidental gap was yup.
