  • When cleaning a plastic tracheostomy tube, you will need the following items:
    Dish soap (fragrance free preferred)
    Hot water
    2 glass containers
    Obturator
Tracheostomy tube brush or cotton tip swab
    Hydrogen peroxide
    Distilled water
    Plate
    Clean paper towel
    Gloves (optional)
    Please note:
According to most manufacturers, a plastic tracheostomy tube can be used for up to one month. After one month, the tracheostomy tube should be discarded, and a new tracheostomy tube should be used. #lifewithavent

Hey, I sent you a Facebook message, because I wasn't sure the best way to get in touch with you. But I have some questions about traches that I was hoping you could help me understand better.
