Very informative video. Thanks for sharing 👍
Glad you liked it!
Not every green/white fig is an Adriatic type. Col de Dame Blanc figs in particular have a distinctly different neck and thicker texture.
Wow that's interesting. Thanks for your input
@@RKfigs sarcastic 🤌
I from Ukraine, growing fig zone 5b.
Cool video my man
I’m in 5A and have been really inspired by your success with many late figs. I don’t have a greenhouse, but plan to do the garage shuffle this spring with my RdB, Improved Celeste and Chicago Hardy. What would you recommend for a minimum daytime temp before starting to bring them out?
10 Celcius
I highly recommend at least getting a temporary plastic greenhouse for less than a hundred on ebay or amazon. The temperatures will be for certain 80 f plus each day in there as long as sun is shining no matter how small or cheap. If you put your figs in it each day and never forget to shuffle them back in the house before dark you will have what you wanted. Without those 80f days in there though, you risk getting dead windburned leaves, poor conditions and possible tree demise and mortality with each shuffle. Just don't forget about them and leave them in there at sundown. It'll freeze just as cold inside and just as fast
I know because I forgot once.
I’d love a cutting from the strawberry verte. I live close. Let me know if you have any available. Thank you
I only have Col de Dame Blanc left
@@RKfigs how. can I get a hold of you? I live in London Ontario
I’ll drive up to you if you gimme your address. Thank you
@@RKfigs do you have Col de dame blanc cuttings for this year?
Is the White Madeira in the Adriatic category? How does this fig compare in taste to the Col de Dame?
Thanks
i will keep white madeira.
Definitely missing Dalmatie from the list. Nevertheless, great video.
I just got that variety last year and I'm looking forward to trying it's figs this year. hopefully it fruits. Thanks for the suggestion and your comment!
@@RKfigs You'll like it, but it grows on the slow side and because the figs are big, the tree needs to become more established. Just take your time with it and give it plenty of sun - more than what normally is expected.
What is the variety on the top right of the plate at 0:51? I think I have that variety but am not sure of the name.
Hi RK,
Will you be listing any Pintasillga cuttings this season for sale?

Brother... panache and CdDX are absolutely not adriatics. Adriatics share the same flavor AND texture profile. Strawberry verte is the only actual adriatic mentioned 😬
There seems to be a lot of differing, "expert" opinions on what is or is not a "true" Adriatic. I'm inclined to be flexible, personally. Panache works for me, fits the description, and so it qualifies in my book. Haven't tried the CdCX yet, maybe next year I'll have an educated opinion on it.
@@drea4195 for me all the fig varieties that are historically grown at the adriatic coast are adriatic figs. Most figs here in croatia have a green or yellow exterior. The variety Dalmatie is the best example.
Where are you in Canada?, slberta or Ontario?
Ontario
@@RKfigs thank you for replying.
How much is for the rooted little trees ?
