  • In this episode we are fly fishing for trout in this wonderfully scenic area along the Coeur d’Alene River system. We use dry flies, nymphs and wet flies to catch and release native Westslope Cutthroat trout. We hike in with some good friends and enjoy a sunny warm day fishing in shorts and a T-shirt. Ladin has a bit of a rough time getting down the hill to the river. Don't let the small size of the river fool you. There are some very nice sized Cutthroats in this water. I hope you enjoy this episode.
Fly Fishing with Ladin's primary purpose is to share fly fishing techniques and places to fly fish in the Western United States. We are a dedicated fly fishing UA-cam channel promoting catch and release fly fishing. Our motto is having fun catching and releasing fish. We want to share our passion with others. We are not professionals. We are passionate about fly fishing but we do not take ourselves to seriously. We show our mistakes, falling in, getting flies stuck in wrong places, loosing fish. The same things that all of us experience fly fishing. We have been fly fishing northwest waters for over forty years. But we are always learning new things that we like to pass along. We think our channel is a great place to get ideas for fly fishing vacations and weekend trips.

I love that the guides still get super pumped about every fish whether is be big or small they have probably caught more than they can count that’s a good quality to have!

I don’t understand how you don’t have more subs, or views. Your content is better then a lot of fly fishermans content. But I would like to see what flys you are using. But Keep it up.

It looks like a beautiful hike. Understand the need to protect the easier access fishing holes from too many people and so not giving precise locations I think is a good idea. In this video you hike a mile and a half, something not tons of people are willing to do. I am. I know this river fairly well from the water, would love to hike and fish this section. I suspect you are above Prichard, could you at least give an idea of what mile marker the trail head is at? I met you guys down on the Spokane River filming an episode, you gave me great advice of where to fish and so I am a fan. Hope to see you again on the river!

Almost anyone can catch fish when they hire a guide. I'd like to see you do more videos on public waters without a guide. I seldom have the money to spend on a guide, plus I'd much rather figure things out on my own.
