She thought damn your stupid but instead said Ok and walked away from you.

I bought the shoes after watching this. Every shoe I ever bought caused me pain in my legs, joints, and back.
At 54 weighing 254 lbs I started running with my pink Vaporfly Next shoes 4 months ago. It was mind blowing. It absorbs impact like nothing I have ever seen. I am now still 54 but weighs 223 lbs and is running every day to every second day on these shoes. Will never buy anything else. No pain running! My mile time went from 10 minutes down to 7:58 and I know I will do better in the future. (I know it is slow...) New life!
7:58 is a incredible a time. A lot of young kids in my school can not run that and they don't have to deal with back and joint pain. You are an awesome runner and true inspiration to us all!!!
Well done, Daisy. For two obvious reasons: (1) your weight loss of 31 lbs, and (2) reducing your mile time by 2:02. Great start!
However, we know these beginnings for your success weren't due solely by the shoes. Have you also changed your diet?

Shoes 5 seconds, if we're generous maybe 10. Other 30 is the fact that it's asphalt and mostly downhill lol.
@@Spartacus11 Isn't asphalt slower than a track tho. 5k/10k track WR timings are quicker than road ones.
@@qh415 Not sure honestly. Yes, for elite runners it makes sense that WR timings would be faster on track since the top track athletes are more comfortable on the track being used to training there and having the highest quality spikes. And world comps and olympics for 5k and 10k distances are run on the track. Technically you should be able to run faster on the harder surface (asphalt) though and I believe this is the case for most amateur runners. But everyone is different.
Woah, I think I like those more the green ones I have!
Have you ever ran in the 4%s? Can you notice a difference if so? Lastly, at what distance on a track would you choose the vaporfly over spikes?

staying above 190bpm for the majority of that race would've seriously killed. I can't imagine how much that would've hurt
It’s downhill so it’s not accurate
Depends on what his maximum is. I used to cycle above 210bpm for 4 minutes easily when my maximum was in the 220's. At his age mine was about 212. Now it's about 194 it would seem (or at-least, that's the highest I've recorded this year during sprint intervals) ... so yeah, now 4 minutes in 190's would kill me ha ha. But when I was in my 20's or 30's it was more do-able.
Everyone's different on max HR and what they can maintain.
@@GlenGoesOutdoors how could your max hr be anywhere near 220. Thats like the max heart rate for a 1 year old child?!
@@GlenGoesOutdoors not even a 12 year old should be pushing past 210/212
@@bayleymassey No, it's not. Everyone's max heart rate is different. If you rely on the 220-age "formula" you have no idea what your max heart rate is or where your training zones are.
