This is a good video! One year ago this June I bought a new 2023 Forester Limited. I actually ordered it in early May and had to wait for it to be delivered from Japan in June. It was worth the wait. I have not yet gotten used to the body redesign of the 2025 model, and to me it looks too much like the Ford Explorer. As for the power of the 4 cylinder boxer engine found in the earlier and new models of the Forester, it's good enough. The car is good for driving around town and for highway driving. You do not have to have an active lifestyle to appreciate this car, and you do not need to take it off road to like it. What do these people want who say they wish the Forester has more power? If you want a hot car overpowered car, go buy a Corvette. If you want a safe sensible reliable car then Forester should be among the cars that you consider. It also holds its resale value year after year. The car gets decent gas mileage. The car can be less expensive to insure than some other cars as well because of its safety features. Take all of that into consideration as you evaluate the cost of car ownership. One last note, Forester is almost always on the Consumer Reports list of best cars to own and drive. Take a Forester for a test drive, then decide for yourself.
My point like I said, was it needed more power to get up and move, like merging and pulling out into traffic. It can be unsafe to think you can pull out into traffic, floor it, and have zero power to get up to the speed limit. So yes, this car needs more power to feel safer.. Also safety features have zero impact of insurance rates..
I own a 2020 Forest limited. The new 2025 didn't change enough to excite me to buy one. I'll just have to wait 5 more years to see their new offerings.
Brought my ‘19 Forester Limited in for an oil change and tire rotation yesterday (Monday), checked out the ‘25s. Going to pick up the new one Saturday!
I bought, & still own, my first Subi back in 2011( Outback), & am now waiting for delivery of a 2015 Forester Sport model. I've owned a number of makes over the years ( GM, Benz, Honda, Mazda ), and found that my Subi had lasted the longest with the least amount of problems ( rust, parts failing, low quality pieces etc). I respect this brand for being one of the few that does not need to constantly re-invent itself in order to sell cars.
Good review bro! Quick question about the navigation system. You mentioned it working even in remote areas where you didn’t have service on your phones. How is that? Is it satellite linked navigation or something? Also, how’s the overall headlight performance at night?
I don’t know that, but it’s the same in any car with built in navigation. They always work even when cells phones don’t. I always buy a car with built in nav for that reason, can always rely on it. Should be a hard drive nav system
Actually my brother drove the Touring lol. But both seem similar. Touring does have a nicer touch with the real leather and did actually feel plush. Definitely check one out!
It’s a press vehicle, so it’s a car that gets driven by multiple car personal. We also put about 800 miles on it and the press company put around 800 on it as well.
Front has to much going on and unresolved. What are those hexagonal indentations doing at the bottom?....the serve no purpose....just plonked on and clash with the fog light indentations. Not a unified design theme. In any case this design already looks outdated picking up design language that the other car makes have introduced years ago.
I think it looks nice, but yeah some things aren't functional or have an interesting look. But looks much nicer than the previous model, so I wouldn't say it's outdated already.

Subaru offered this for years in a turbo model, so even they knew it needed more power. They only discontinued the XT due to poor sales.

It's a big change, but glad you enjoy it.
Just ordered a 25 Touring model in River Rock Pearl / Brown leather, can't wait! My test drive sold me! Best Forester yet in my opinion!
That's a beautiful combo!
glad you enjoy it!

Oh cool!
Great review.
Thanks!

How does it compare to Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson in terms of ride comfort and cabin quietness?
Haven't been in those cars in a while, but would be about the same.
Getting mine tomorrow. Can't wait.
Sweet!
Looking good💯
It's a neat new design!
I'm early to this vid & I think I could buy this.
Great option!
i couldn't buy this
@@AntLive29 Why?
Fantastic review bro.
Glad you liked it!
You mentioned in the video that the car is 10% less still but Subaru says it's 10% stiffer.
Pretty sure I said stiffer, but if I didn’t I misspoke.

@@BrosFOURRSpeedyeah now that makes sense. Being hard drive based I bet. And how’s the headlight performance at night?
Great, what you would expect!
@@BrosFOURRSpeedalright, I appreciate the responses!
When is new Wilderness expected?
Not too sure. Maybe this coming year
You have driven the Limited and touring. Does the touring seem more “luxurious”? Subarus aren’t plush but was there a difference in Wow this is nice?

Seriously, if now is not the right time to update that engine and tranny I don't know when is. The rest of the car is ok but only ok.
Seemed fine, but I'm curious to drive the hybrid to see if that's any better!
Looks like an old Ford Everest. Why hasn’t Subaru fired all their design people yet?
Yeah I can see a bit of that
How does this forester already have over 2000 miles????
It’s a press vehicle, so it’s a car that gets driven by multiple car personal. We also put about 800 miles on it and the press company put around 800 on it as well.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I see! Thanks for the info.

@@BrosFOURRSpeedI think it’s one of the best looking in the class, I don’t like when people criticize random things that don’t mean anything
I didn't see a spare tire.
If it had one, might be under the vehicle or under a tray in the back. I can't remember
Looks like Ford Explorer
lol yeah!
Closer to 40k 🥲 plus tax and fees
Of course, no one was arguing that..
@@BrosFOURRSpeed oh because video said 30k my bet
I said just over $38,000 ;)
@@BrosFOURRSpeedSorry I thought you said 30k
🟦 I saw the sales #s today. The Forester is killing it. The Impreza, not so much. 🟦
It's a neat new model!
