Why she need $3 billion dollars??? Accept $6 million dollars is good enough. Google won’t give her billions? Give me break!

ikr! she could have had a chance to win the 6mil but there's no way she's getting 6bil

I hope she can get an attorney! Representing herself against a massive company Google sounds really hard. She is so brave to be doing that! I wish her the best in her fight.

i support what she's doing and her efforts but, i wouldn't call representing herself brave. her skills as far as I'm concerned do not involve law so trying to represent yourself against a 300 billion dollar company like Google is a big mistake, her pride is unfortunately going to be her downfall. she won't win this case and after she's loses the case Google will probably come up with some nonsense to fire her, even if she did have a lawyer her chances of winning this are still slim to non but at the very least she'd have an expert helping her with the uphill battle.

Yup same reason why I had to leave a major insurance companies back in the 90’s due to briberies, favoritism, etc without any promotion possibility. Several of us (employees) had a meeting about if we shall sue company, or just take our 401k funds. We ended up deciding that it’s best just to grab our funds and run away from them

That bring me back the bad memories with my situation with Vertical Screens in Warminster, PA. They blatantly violated the ADA and I got EEOC involved with evidences I provided. In the end the EEOC support the company 😑. The Vertical Screens kept redirect the subject where I kept emphasized that they REFUSED to provide interpreter for EVERYTHING (interview, training, orientation). They have two deaf employees and they are very passive, let them control them. One time they said they have a worker who is an interpreter and certified but she barely signs. I’m still pissed to now because whatever agencies claimed to support Deaf people are dirty and worthless.

Google already violated her ADA rights for providing the certified interpreter. The certified interpreter must have ethic of code that he/she must keep in confidential not to tell anything to one others. Google should know better but still Google seemed like an ignorant know nothing about the certified interpreter’s role with ethic of codes. Sheesh! That made me disgusting and sick for what Google did to deaf employees 😑🤨

Why not Google staffs should learn sign language with Jalon? Jalon can have staff anytime right there. Because Google is confidential. I don't think she needs an interpreter. I'm sure you disagree with me.🥴

I think we missed something behind her story..(i dont know why she wants that kind of job that is required interpreters with her for years???).. she cant sue billions if she filed under ADA.. ADA only allows up to 300 K... Wish her the best of luck...

She will lose. Court will see she's in it for money and thrown out. Three Billion dollars for having no interpreter at work? I wish I could sue every time I did not get an interpreter at my work in Toyota but it seems like a cash grab. She is simply in wrong work position. She cannot have interpreter with her to review every videos everyday. I think Google should have done better to put her elsewhere. Were other deaf employees at Google doing the same job she does and how did they do? It is like hiring a person with no arms to work at stocking produces and items at a grocery store and expect other person to help put it on shelves everyday. Doesn't make sense. I used to work at Superstore for 5 years and they did hire a guy with one arm. He did pretty decent job by himself but few times he asked for help pick up big boxes which I do not mind. I am Deaf and I know being an investigator reviewing videos is not for me because I can't hear or understand what videos says if it is not captioned. $6 million then changed it to $3 billion, my god she lost her mind and greedy. What she need that much for? Is she too high maintenace? Cut the damn nails short. It is very annoying to see deaf women with very long nails to sign ASL.

I'm puzzled as to why Google ALREADY has contracts with the sign language interpreter agency. If there are contracts in place, it implies that there should be agreements ensuring provision of an interpreter for her workplace, where agreements such as HIPAA and Privacy must be signed to ensure confidentiality. If sensitive information is gossiped about, Google CAN sue the interpreter for violating the policy, which wouldn't be difficult. She shouldn't receive $6 billion, but she SHOULD accept $3 million, which is sufficient. She doesn't need billions of dollars to gain attention from everyone. Let's stop fixating on greed for money!

yall worried about the wrong thing who cares how much she suing for ... captions are NOT always accurate an interpreter would be more authentic for the task .. google definitely was discriminating !
