I have said it before and will no doubt say it again. The very best shore fishing channel on the Tube. Honest, informative and very interesting. Keep them coming Rod.
This guy has such a good unique fishing style. You also explain things clearly from rigs choosen baits. Tactics. I learn alot from you. Tight lines mate
Great session from the looks of it. I was Born in Deal, but moved up the coast to Ramsgate in the mid 80's. Spent most of my childhood on Deal Pier. Pouting numbers took a massive nosedive in the mid 80's, so nice to see them returning in good numbers
Having watched your previous video earlier, I then made myself a cup of tea (with a couple of digestive biscuits on the side) and sat back to watch this one. An absolute joy to watch two of your videos in one evening. A good session and a great video. I am sorry for repeating myself but your videography and editing is amazing. Even if you caught nothing I would still happily watch your videos although, of course, seeing you catch fish, and having a good session, is even better! As ever, looking forward to the next one. Cheers. Ken
nice to c u again I come from Dover so were you are today I spent a couple of yrs with Kingsdown boat club Near 40 yr ago Seems you had a fair day Stay healthy matey Pete I really enjoy your whole film deal GOOD TO RELAX and wind down to Keep it up
Thanks Terry 👍. Am limiting distance travelled at the moment (Nov 2020) due to Lockdown restrictions; but you are right, I do like to venture out to venues all over the south and east of the country.
Great session. I'm going to drag myself away from (always) fishing at the far end of The Warren and try Folkestone Pier out. I've been meaning to fish from Boundary Road for some time.
Had many a session at boundary road it used to be a good cod venue to in winter alas no more . There used to be a fantastic place where you could get tea and home made scones along that main road part as well .
Still coarse match fishing (when allowed to) Anthony - but not with two rods and six hooks. You'll still find me on rivers, canals and Bough Beech - I misread the sign - I thought it said Beach! Thanks for watching and expect to see you on the shingle some day.
It's puzzling why fishing boats in particular come in so close to the shore, within casting range of anglers? Defeats the object - I thought the idea of having a boat is to be able to fish out at sea and not impinge on those fishing from the beach. Am I missing something? Thanks for watching and commenting Paul.
@@rodsangleuk6283 Where the cliffs come to an end at Kingsdown is I believe a cod mark for boat anglers. I imagine that the day boat commercial guys would find the chalk reefs under the cliffs of interest.
As a person who use to live in deal 5 years ago all I can say wow the beach has changed never use to be that steep, also is good fishing all year round - summer smoothhounds rays bass etc Winter - whiting pouting codling Sandwich bay is also very good ! Some times both points are better when it is dark or dusk
Thanks for sharing Steve. I haven't fished here in the summer, but used to go to Sandwich Bay, late spring and occasionally in the winter - will need to refamiliarise myself with that venue as well!
@@rodsangleuk6283 unfortunately it wasn't a good day for us again. The whiting weren't as invasive as they normally are but we still caught double digit numbers of them. We caught a a fairly small silver eel which we haven't managed before so it's nice to mix it up. It was very frustrating though for most as I was getting really strong bites on my pennel rig which I either used a full squid or a whiting. Could never manage to strike properly and the bait was getting absolutely hammered. The other two rods we had a 3 hook flapper and a 2 up 1 down i believe which was okay for whiting but couldn't manage to catch anything else really. The guy next to us pulled in a 3 pound bass and 2 plaice all on lug which made it more annoying as we were using that also. We must be doing something wrong. To top it off, the rough road down to dengemarsh was not very fun in my BMW 1 series 😂 took about 25 minutes haha
No problem eating the whiting caught in the channel, cannot say the same for the ones in the Medway or Thames with a sewage works every five miles. Dusted in flour and fried in butter with a dash of lemon juice they are excellent eating
Yes Annabel - I don't know why a lot of anglers just think that whiting are only fit for the cat. I will take a couple on the odd occasion, and fresh, they taste better than a lot of fish you get from the supermarket. Thanks for watching and commenting again.
Hi Simon, in this video I'm using Colmic 07 Superiors; bought since making most of the Seaford videos, where I'm mainly using Grauvelle Teknos Dues. Thanks for watching and commenting.
What a session, it's the only beach i have fished in all your videos. Have you ever fished it in the winter for Cod ? Thanks again for another great video
Yes, plenty of fish, albeit small, in a short period - would have run out of bait if I fished the whole tide. Thanks for watching and commenting Kevin.

Another really interesting vid .I had to watch it in two halves cos I was exhausted half way through. Thanks for the excitement Phew!!
Glad you enjoyed it Anthony - plenty of fish there, so can be hectic.
A good busy session. Looks an interesting venue.
Yes Andy - it's a favourite of mine and will be going back there more often. Thanks for watching.

I am never sure why a boat and a beach angler have such an affinity for each other

A very pleasant little session.
Thanks Bonnie.
Great video as usual, if you don't mind me asking what is it you film with? Always seems to follow/focus on the right bits
Thanks for that. I use 3 different types of action camera and a Canon G7X Mk11. The motion tracking is done afterwards.
RodsAngleUK brilliant touch will have to look into how that's done very good job
Fantastic location Rod. Any good for cod on cold winter's night?. Many thanks for uploading the video. Great footage. Kind regards. Mike. Norfolk. 🐟🐟
Thanks Mike - may come back as a codling venue - I used to catch them there 10+ years ago.
ROD? DO you think a loop rig will be any good to fish down the thames say tilbury or gray's area.
Yes and if you want to, you can make them up with short snoods. However, I prefer boom rigs there, since I'm usually fishing for soles.
Another great vid am fishing Tues on the cod hunt
Thanks Simon - where are you going, if you don't mind me asking?

Whiting are a lovely eating fish
Yes - but 'flakey' - tend to fall apart on the plate - might be the way I cook them! I rarely take them though.
Curious what those rods are your using ? I've enjoyed your Videos at Seaford which is nearer for me. Cheers

Great fishing but you don't half take some kit with you

Thanks for that @buff7664 - I used to night fish there for codling, a good few years back - used to go to the right of the Zetland Arms.

Yes, plenty of fish, albeit small, in a short period - would have run out of bait if I fished the whole tide. Thanks for watching and commenting Kevin.
Do you ever keep any fish to eat ... and if so ... which?
Yes - soles, plaice, bream and decent sized bass mainly. Thanks for watching @INTERTELTOP1.
Very good 🎣🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
