When I was a kid, I was discouraged from doing the, what do you see in these blobs of paint.
I don't have to listen to that anymore.
With that blue one I actually saw a cool blue dragon.
I can really get into this because I've always wanted to do this.
My mind would do this with bed sheets in how the wrinkles created shadows and shapes.
I think this is exactly what I needed to be inspired by because I really want to use my new water color paints somehow not commonly done, and this is it. Also, I can just create inspirational quotes on top of a nice watercolor background.

yes! I've been loving using my watercolor in that way. I'll either make a pretty background n add ontop an encouraging verse or ill do this technique where u draw the shape u want w plain water say a heart or jellyfish are fun n then u just drop in blobs of color n watch them flow n blend together, tilting the page as needed but no brush strokes or anything just watching the beautiful colors move across the shapes. very therapeutic! can't wait to try a reverse painting now too. ☺
      hope urs comes out cool!

I actually took a screenshot of one of those pages, went to photoshop to fill some space (because once I removed Jazza's hands from the screenshot, the image was in a weird angle to fill a page, so I kind of filled the rest repeating the pattern) And... I loved my result! I need to get myself some ink and try this in a traditional media. Thanks for always showing that art is just... fun :D

One of my favorite things to do since kindergarten all the way through school was to stare at the patterns in the weird texture of the bus seats and then draw what I saw. I never knew it was a technique. It no doubt fueled my creativity tho.
Couple of my favorite results were a peacefully belly-flopped basset hound doing a blep, and a giant head with one tiny angel wing and one tiny demon wing, wearing a bitty party hat and blowing out his birthday cake candles.

    .
As a child I would see images in the linoleum and when older would simply do random pen or pencil scribbles and then begin this process...

I am a frantic doodler for about 10 years now and your art channel inspired me to really learn to draw characters back in those days when I started out. Lately I really am feeling out of it with my normal drawing routine as doodling and sketching became stale to me, I have dabbled with digital and paint but nothing seems to stick as I just don't have a real methodical approach to it. and went back to this channel to see a lot of guidebooks on all those steps after the sketch. So I'm thinking of again buying some of your guidebooks and again just wanted to say thank you for being you❤✌ peace and love from the Netherlands, I never really say this but you are like the only creater I know that I would actually like to meet as you helped me to forge the creative person I am today :)

This is one of my fav way to 'sketch' things for years. I think it started out as a way to not ruin the ink but it also helps me because I dont draw with an image in my head before I start to draw. Also if the black Ink is too much one can try coloured ink/markers instead.

Hey Jazza, try crochet! Personally I’m making a vest from the alligator stitch. :) (it’s going fabulously) I would recommend trying something simple and small first though, with a plain design in a scarf or a headband. I definitely recommend trying it. (And don’t wrap the yarn around your finger!!! Put it over your pinky, under the next two fingers, and over the pointer finger.) probably not going to see my comment, but if you do, Hi and thanks for posting fun videos!

It's really cool to see how different people recognise shapes in different ways. Just for example, with the second one, I didn't see a diver. I saw a wyvern flying into the distance. Though when you pointed it out, I was able to see the diver too.
Shapes and how the brain works woth them are fascinating XD

My son and I just did some sheets of water color to try this. My son loves your content and inspires us to do art together. Such a win win.

On Domestika I have done a watercolor course where they have a practical lesson similar to this - make blobs of paint. Do 'reverse colour book' exercise by drawing in what you see in your different blobs. Pick 2 or 3 of you favourite 'designs'/pictures and compose an artwork around them. Seriously a lot of fun!

It's interesting to see Jazza go back to some of the basics. I still have the Arty Games App and it helped me with turning nothing into something! All pieces were creative and fun! Excellent video!!!! 👏👏👏🔥

For me, it’s like free association. Just love how the brain finds things from nothing. Like looking at clouds and finding angels and puppy dogs! Great vid!🙋‍♀️🖋❤️🎨

This is great. I'd never heard of reverse coloring books until today. Love the idea of taking a page you created and trying this technique.
