In this video i show how to forge Petersen G-type Viking Age spear. It is re-creation of the archaeological find from Trelleborg (Denmark). То forge it I used wrought iron wagon axel - core, low C stell (early Bessemer steel) - socket and pattern welded bilet I forge out of the medium and high C stell - cutting edges. - Наука та технологія
Endlich wieder ein Schmied, der mit Hammer und Amboss arbeitet. Ein echter Könner! Sehr, sehr gut vom Handwerklichen und der Planung.
Very well done, you certainly have the skills!
These spear heads are very beautiful. Thank you for sharing this video 😎👍🏻
Beautiful. I want a swage block so bad!
You are really good at these. Very inspiring
Brilliant- I love that you chose to replicate the original as it is: incomplete- and that you added the missing socket in a way that it's clear that it's a restoraton. Beautiful work, as always ;)
Awesome work. beautiful patterns
Nice tidy work my friend ! A good craftsman always makes it look so easy ;
Always a treat to see you at work 😊
beautiful spearhead
Mistrzostwo świata 🔥🔥🔥
Just ran across this. Unique approach to the socket construction. Very well done! I'd love to give this a try. Saved and subscribed!
As usual, a masterclass from you.

Trabalho incrível!
Looks great!
Very cool and interesting techniques!
Hello! Such a beautiful and lovely piece of art that you produced here again! You are really amazing and your skill is just on another level! All the best and cheers to Poland!
That spear is awesome.
Super Video vielen lieben Dank 👍
Beautiful
Good job
Beautifully crated! I assume the outer layer of steel was harder and had higher carbon contact for a better edge, correct?
Anda memberikan pamor ke bilah tombak, mengesankan 👍
As always, very cool.
One thing is not clear - how cleverly you can weld a thin-walled tube.
the rod i put into the socket during forge welding is hot, very hot
@@officinaferraria Hmm... How interesting. :)
@@officinaferrariahow do you keep the rod from welding to the inside of the tube?
@@CChan11 has much less temp than welding temperature
@@CChan11 The rod is thick and won't heat up as quickly as the thin-walled socket will. The socket is probably not tight on the rod when in the fire as well.
👍👍👍👍
Brilliant stuff. Do you ever sell these?
Sometimes.
If you sold one how much would cost. I am in the UK

What's the weight?
so it isnt heat treated?
it was, i didnt recorded it.
