- In this video I show how forging process of the replica of the Viking Age spear. This time i choose the spear Cat. No. 31 which is very unique because it has iron inlay ornaments. To forge it I used many different type of the materials: wrought iron, low and medium C steel, all of these materials i collected on the scrap yards.

Amaizing... sir try making kris sword from bali Lombok island.. thanks
that has to be the most beautiful spearhead I have ever seen... how many hours of work went into that? I can't imagine it would be worth it to sell for anything less than several thousand at least.
It took 60 h of work and thousands h of gaining experience.
wow, incredible! So talented, I enjoy these videos so much. My only criticism would be that we don't get to see these amazing pieces mounted or put on a shaft.
Still waiting for shafting:-),

Not to take away from this amazing spear, but where do you get a heat treating kiln like that?
there is a guy in Poland who makes it facebook.com/people/Mini-hell-kilns/100057257357661/

Hello, do you have a shop where items can be bought?
No i do not have, most items i show here on yt channel i forge for myself (I am not full time bladesmith, it is just a hobby). But if you want to order something ancient/medieval let me know, my email adress is officina.fe@gmail.com. Some more projects you can see here: facebook.com/officinaferraria
Excellent
I really wish this spearhead was for sale. I'd buy this.
amazing
Gorgeously deadly
Have mo words❤
that is very beautiful
Do you have a tictoc account? Your work is Amazing ❤ You are awesome!
No, i do not have tictok
So what do you use to join your steel, I seem not to see you adding any powder
That is an experience spear maker edges are made to pierce through the body armor
Wow!
Bardziej skomplikowanego chyba nieda się zrobić.
Może kiedyś jakiś archeolodzy odkopią:-)
how much this beauty costs...
Gods above and below. I thought I was decent at forgewelding when I made a broadaxe out of four pieces of iron and steel. Spectacularly impressive work! I love how you just casually mention a tank gun barrel as a material, hah! I clearly need to get better at forgewelding by a longshot! I do have a few pieces of Great Moravian iron from an archaeologist friend stashed away, and a few kilos of meteoric iron, that I am keeping for a special project - want to take a guess what I want to use such rare materials for? :) Anyway, I have a question - what do you think a good item for practicing forgewelding would be? Barbed arrowheads? Chains? Or do you reckon just keeping at making knives and axeblades is enough?
Have a great day!
Multi parts Spearheads! There are many different ways of forge welding to practice.
@@officinaferraria Fair enough! I mostly do axes as those always find a use, but fair enough! One thing I had fun with lately as a general, non-forgewelding blacksmithing practice was forging a bear trap. If you pardon my language, kurva kus železa dojebaný, getting it to work properly is a bitch, but so very satisfying when it finally does, hah! Loving your videos, I've been binging them for most of my free time last few days. Great work and looking forward to more!
