I just tried this wrap, actually, I used it to navigate my own finishing touches, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. As I was following your instructions, I realized how easy you make everything look, that’s when I realized how skilled you are and though you make wire wrapping look effortless, it’s clear that you have a lot of experience under your belt. I am a huge fan of your tutorials and an even bigger fan of your work. Thank you for sharing! 😉👍🏾
You are a Wonderful teacher! So detailed, yet easy to follow. Your verbal explanations along with the video are precise enough for us to understand but not overwhelming. As a novice I truly appreciate you sharing your talent with us. Thank you ❤️
I am very new to wrapping stones and after watching this wonderful video I actually think I can do this! All your tutorials are so detailed and well explained that I have had an easier time learning how to do such things. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and your time. You are a true artist with a unique talent.
Thank you Oxana, you are by far my favourite UA-cam tutor and I’ve learned so much from you! I’ve done two of these now, both using my own resin cabochons and I have four more lined up to do in the same style, although I’ll probably get adventurous and try some different finishing methods. 😊
I made this! My first piece. My bale was too small to tuck the last pieces into so I just curled them around for more swirly stuff on the front. It looks pretty darn good. Thanks!
Hi Oxana, I tried this one yesterday...I made a couple of mistakes, but I was happy I could do it. Thank you so much for your video's. You show every detail and that's so helpful!. This helps so much during these times to keep my mind occupied. My mom who watches with me is 93 and she loves watching you and she loves how soothing your voice is
The copper goes so well with the green stone! Love it. Great tutorial, thank you. Now when I find a good stone I don't have to worry about hole for bail!
Thank you for helping to start me off on my gem wrap journey! I’ve been a fossicker for a few years now and this is the first time I’ve ever wrapped. Your tutorial gave me much needed insight into valuable techniques and tips :)
This is the BEST tutorial if you have a beautiful stone to show through. I have a moonstone all ready to go. I have made this before for someone with long hair whose earrings were always getting tangled in her hair and it worked great,
Thank you so much! I have been STRUGGLING with the finishing touches and your tutorial showed me exactly what I was missing. I finally made my first highlight quality wraps
I have never wire wrapped before and like seed beads, which gives me hives, I was intimidated to try! This tutorial is awesome and for a first time try, I’m very proud of what I did. A few things were cut too short and my bail turning is a hot mess, but hey - I don’t have hives and will will definitely do one of these agin! Thank you for creating and posting this tutorial!!
I'm new to wrapping stones and am looking forward to getting the hang of it like you have! Thank you for posting these videos, have a wonderfully blessed day.
Whar a terrific video. My kids (late 20's) want me to move on to other types of art work I do. The oldest wants some paintings for her new house, her next younger brother just had a beautiful littel girl and he has been asking for little quilts and rompers and dresses etc. etc.like I used to make his sister and the youngest son wants me to get off my tush and finish a quilt I started for him several years ago but we've moved 2x, one downsizing of the large family home, putting a ton of things in storage, then moved again to a town house. I have so much fabric (beads, bead findings, gem stones I have several cabs I havent found a way to put in a lovely home of a bezel.) Before I take a break from my beautiful stones and wires etc, I have just found this perfect TUTORIAL by you to place my labordorite cab that I have been saving for a couple of years!!!! You're great. Thank you. I can put my beloved collection of jewelry making supplies away for a little while knowing I have found a way of doing what I've wanted to for quite awhile. That's makes me feel a little better.Thank you so very much. Evangeline
I used an oval flurolite with 20g round dead soft silver plated wire and it turned out beautifully! Thank you so much. Your tutorials are the best! 🤩😊🤩
Thanks for explaining not only the gauge wire but also the firmness. Other tutorials I've seen don't give the wire specifics so I haven't known what to get. Nice piece! Hope I can do half as well!
Hello. Not sure if you read the comments, but about 6 years ago I bought the exact same pendant style with a bloodstone. It was amazing to watch you make what I have been wearing for about 5-6 yrs I wear bloodstone as my birthstone and for the blood and heart benefits 😊
Very easy to follow and I like that you show your work up close and explain it. Some videos you can't see what they're doing and they don't show their work up close and it's very hard to follow and they get off camera lot but yours is very easy. Thank you.
I'm only just starting to learn, right now all I have is some cheap wire that I could find around the house but I'll be able to get some better stuff tomorrow. you have a great way with the stones. I absolutely love what you're doing here, I hope to learn more in the coming weeks!
Thanks Oxana! It really helped to be able to follow someone doing it so expertly. This was my first try at using square wire and it looked OK (although not as neat as yours of course). You’re a really good teacher!
Oxana, I love you work, stubbled over this looking for a way to finish a bale on an almost finished piece, I used this bale and then came back and made 2 pieces using this full tutorial - Thank you so much for the beautiful work you share.
Thank you. That was just lovely. So discouraged by how ornate some designs are. I have a minimalist daughter who will love the simplicity of this design I am hoping to make for her. We'll rxplaoned Thank-you for sharing your knowledge and skills. It's so generous that you are prepared to share your expertise.
Just finished this pendant using your thorough tutorial. Even though it doesn't look nearly as good as yours, I have hope that with practice every piece will get better and better. Thank you!!!
You are unbelievably talented ! Your wire wrapping game is UP THERE GIRL! 👌👌👌Great tutorial and beautiful design ! Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing your talent with the world 🤗👏👏♥️
Omg it was the firdt time doing wire wrapping and ur tutorial was so simple. I absolutely loved it. It is nothing like yours but it looks great and can only get better thanks so much!
I love all your videos! You make it all look so easy and indeed this one was pretty easy! My very first one came out excellent and I used brass wire which was a challenge. I have now purchased the dead soft square from your recommendations and I'm sure it will go much smoother. My first one took me 4 hours and much patience with the brass. Thank you so much for teaching me this! You are a wonderful teacher and don't waste time which is fantastic in itself. I will recommend you to my friends. God Bless
@@OxanaCrafts lol It actually took me longer because it bent and turned so easily when I wanted it to stay straight. Also nicks much easier so I have to be extra careful. I do love it though. I just have to get used to it. Making the top loops was a breeze comparatively and I will keep shopping at Rio Grande as you suggested. Can I ask what rounded pliers you use? Mine seem to bend when I make the small loops. We have the same long nose pliers. I've had them since I worked in manufacturing years ago and they work better than the others I purchased for jewelry making. Again, thank you SO MUCH for all your wonderful tutorials!!
Wow your narration is simple, clear and to the point. Your demo is excellent! Hope to see more simple wire wrapping techniques for tumble or raw stones. Good job! Thumbs up for you!❤
Yea, my wire will be here tomorrow. I am so excited to get started. Its been hard to watch the videos while waiting for the wire. Thumbs up to Rio Grande for the fast shipping. Thank you Oxana for the recommendations on where and what to buy. Will let you know how it goes tomorrow after I work with the wire for a bit.
Absolutely Love how you did this Pendant!! So easy to follow.... can't wait to try this....I do mostly Freeform Wrapping but really Love this! Thank You!
Thank you so much for sharing my son asked me to do something with the different stones he buys so going to try and see if I can do it with your help take care
I tried this with round wire because I didnt have the square kind. Its definitely not as neat as yours, but my issue was the length of the wrapped wire on the bottom. I did mine and it came up to high for me to securely cage the stone. Overall not bad for my first try. Thanks for this material! Was fun to make.
I laugh at myself sometimes, because I'll attempt your tutorials with less-than-exact materials. I know I'll learn from the process regardless, but for this one I used 20-gauge brass wire, 24-gauge brass wire, and some 22-gauge bronze for ornamentation around the base of the bail, ultimately making a briolette. These are the only relevant materials I had. I have to say, though, that it still came out great! Your tutorials always yield great results.
Thank you! Was interested in learning wire wrap and this was a perfect and very clear tutorial! Now to watch your video about wire. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful designs; I just wondered if you could achieve this beautiful effect using round wire instead of half round wire like you did; don't think so but thought I should ask. Keep up the good work your inspiring.
I received my prong setting pliers. They work good for making sharp bends in wire, even the 1mm one does sharp bends in 20 gauge wire with no tip bend. Don't know if anyone has a use for this but there it is. Thank you again for your site.
I have a medallion that is completely round that I have been wanting to encase in something so I could wear it on a necklace. This looks like it would work great. If you have any suggestions that would work better for round items, please let me know. Otherwise, I am going to try to make this. It will be my first wire wrap ever. Thank you for such a explanitory video.
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I followed it pretty closely and got a really good result with 20 gauge square Base and 22 gauge half-round. I can see how wire size needs to be consistent with stone size. Also my bail was too long. But overall I’m very pleased with my result. Following more of your tutorials because I like your designs.
I am also new to wire wrapping. I'd like to ask you why you choose the shape of wire that you do...square and half-round. I have seen many wire-wrapping and they seem to lean towards these types and was interested in the thought behind them. Thank you!
your wire wraps are so precious! and your videos are relatively simple to follow.. i think i might have to try to make one sometime in the near future ♥️
Great tutorial. Tips for video: Goto walmart or craft store to get white posterboard (or color of your choosing). Find the biggest window that doesn't get direct sunlight through it (at least while you are shooting video). place table in front of the window with posterboard on it. Bada bing bada boom ready to shoot.
Thank you for that! You make it look so easy. I acquired tones of different jewelry pliers at a yard sale. Could you maybe explain what the differences are of some of the most common. Thanks again!

Oh. My. God. This is the happiest I've been with something I've made from here. There is hope.
Simple yet elegant! I've been doing wire jewelry for several years, yet this is going to be one of my favorites. Thank you so much....

Absolutely Love how you did this Pendant!! So easy to follow.... can't wait to try this....I do mostly Freeform Wrapping but really Love this! Thank You!
Fabulous tutorial. Thank you. Very easy to follow. My square wire was a bit hard but I think I managed. The best wrapped cabochon I've made so far. 👌

One of the first wraps I ever tried and it's so simple. Thanks for being so clear in your demonstration of it. I'm hooked on wrapping now 😊😊x

Thank you for sharing your beautiful designs; I just wondered if you could achieve this beautiful effect using round wire instead of half round wire like you did; don't think so but thought I should ask. Keep up the good work your inspiring.
Yes you can but just have to do some adjustments, here's an example of something similar with round wires: ua-cam.com/video/0ZdiKFsLPgM/v-deo.html

Wow u made that look easy it's beautiful
This is lovely! Thank you so much. I am going to try this method with my acrylic epoxy pendants that I have made.
Good job, very nice, easy and beautiful 👍
I like thin wire wrap that is like this, shows more of the gemstone rather than having heavy wire wrap...thanks!
