Poor old Yorkshire Farmer. Survived multiple shotgun blasts and Heavy Gauss fire in the back, but just couldn't handle being betrayed by his squire in the final mission.
I have been playing with the 40k ROSIGMA mod that Ben's been playing with on stream recently. A Krieger chump got shot in the back by reaction fire by a friendly sniper on the first enemy turn. He was the only casualty of the mission, which is incredible for a mission with the Imperial Guard.
Man these videos are an absolute treat and you keep making them! It's so awesome. I know you probably get a lot of requests but I think the successful TFTD base assault would be awesome every time they did an alien base in that game it was one helluva a time
Whenever I've played XCOM Files or other stuff I've never been so explosive happy... I suppose that's why my friendly fire count is probably 10% of theirs.
You can occasionally forget that there is a friendly in the way. Or not realise how sightlines work - they are not really obvious. But this level of fumbling requires commitment. Or being in the Yogscast.
If BottleGnomes shoots an alien, is it friendly fire? 🤔
It would be interesting to see the stats on how many aliens BottleGnomes killed vs how many humans he has killed
Death by High Ex is an honorable death in the eyes of the chump
The Truest chump death. Second is running out into the open to soak up all the overwatch.
Lewis "Deadliest Enemy" Brindley and Ben "Blue on Blue" Edgar
That snapsnot one was soooo painful.
Deadliest Alien: Friendly.
That sounds about right.
That "fire, not throw" moment goes down in history...

Yeah, the snapshot instead of throwing rocket launcher...

If the Guard dont take 90% casualties you are doing something wrong
Oh hey I remember fumbling that grenade, Lewis really saved my chump there lol
Seeing them back to back like this, it looked like both of them never learn from their mistake.
watching the XCOM Files playthrough I can confirm. They never learned from this mistake or any of the many, many others.

That's the Yogscast Guarantee.
16:23 Do you think Lewis is remembering that time he handed Simon a grenade and it blew up in his hand?
This was such a good and hilarious series people wanting to be a chump so bad and then getting blown to pieces by their own Explosives. Perfection!
When you begin to realise that XCOM under Lewis and Ben is just “Team America” vs Aliens

Friendly fire compilation, god this will be a long Video
I think that snap shot incident is the single worst misclick I've ever seen in any game lol
Whenever I've played XCOM Files or other stuff I've never been so explosive happy... I suppose that's why my friendly fire count is probably 10% of theirs.
We need a compilation of all the times they blew up the equipment on the skyranger, I remember it happening so often 🤣
How is this only half an hour long?
Theres so many i cant find them all😭😭
I have a vague memory that on one of the play throughs they had somehow cranked up the hi-ex damage. Might have been final mod pack?
Yup
NODONTSNAPSHOT
He named himself “MortalRecoil”, he knew what he signed up for o7
3:19 Nothatsnapshot
Since nobody else timestamped it
bombing run ben
*Morgan Freeman voice* And so, XCom predictably and tragically lost the war
I've never played OG XCOM is Ben just bad or does everyone's games consist largely of shooting friendlies in the back of the head?
