This procedure uses a small camera called an endoscope to visualise inside the ear canal whilst a small suction tube is inserted to gently remove ear wax.
We can also use other tools to remove hard ear wax, foreign bodies, peeling dead skin or for ear infection removal.
All the ear wax cleaning videos you see on our channel are carried out by our ear wax specialists Mr Rhys Barber and Mr Taylor Green.

Ear wax plays a vital role in ear health. It helps to prevent ear infection and helps with ear cleaning by picking up any dirt or debris that accumulates in the ear canal. Normally this ear wax would fall out of the ear taking any dirt or debris with it.
How to remove ear wax?
Many people use q-tips/cotton buds for ear wax removal at home this is one of the worst things you can put into the ear as this can lead to an increased ear wax buildup or in extreme cases impacted ear wax. The best way to remove ear wax is to let your ears clean themselves and not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ears!
How do I know if I have an earwax blockage?
If you experience a change in your hearing, discomfort in the ear or jaw or a feeling of fullness in the ear canal you may have an ear wax blockage. Our advice is to speak to your Doctor or local Audiologist who can take a look in your ears and assess whether ear cleaning is needed.

I think it is the same as with anything, if you get someone who is good at it and cares about the patient’s comfort then it shouldn’t hurt, maybe a bit uncomfortable at times but not hurt. I had ear irrigation which is different to this but I know people have a mixed response to this too and I loved it. It felt great and the relief was immense
CharlieFen the doctor or specialist that removes your earwax can’t help the pain, it will always be painful no matter how gentle the person doing it is
Annie Tsiros that’s incorrect, he has said on here before that it may be a little uncomfortable at parts but not painful. I certainly felt no pain when I had mine done. You do get some who are not as considerate as others and just focus on removing it without thinking about the pain the patient may be experiencing (especially if they touch the ear canal or eardrum) but that is the same with everything.
Watching these i find my self gritting my teeth using my imaginary tools and moving my head in random angles to " to get a better look" why lol

You will hear even the slightest rubbing of your clothes on your skin. All of a sudden you feel you could also probably hear ultrasonic frequencies. Everyone seems to be shouting at you. No one can hide anything behind their whispers.

CANNOT imagine that huge amount of brown, dried wax & whatever else in anyone’s ears. I gently use Q-tips after I shower but my right ear sporadically feels like I’m in a plane during take-off & left ear clicks. My doc says my ears look fine but I think it’s time for an ENT check-up. I went from watching pimple popping videos - gross, but I’m obsessed - then Auto-Play brought me to this long, really gross ear gunk removal. Not obsessed with “petrified” ear wax removal but I COULDN’T STOP WATCHING!! (When my son was a teen, I begged to pop his back zits; he never let me! Sick but so satisfying to do - only on MY family members! Pretty amazing how many ppl are obsessed with pimple popping. It’s how Dr. Pimple Popper (Sandra Lee) got her own TV show.

got this done today after being deaf in my left ear for two years! its feels incredible being able to hear again its hard to explain but its like when you get something new and your excited to use it. First thing i did was watch a film with the surround sound on:) plus the constant hissing noise has gone really has changed my life

Absolutely incredible! Most are not so careful around the ear canal. I have seen plugs like that rubbed round until the canal bleeds. No olive oil. I get that they can be tough, but YOU have taught me that it can be done with patience, and leave no injury at all. Brilliant job! KO cases are my favourite. Nobody I have seen online is better than you. Stunning job!
