    Nice Video, thanks. So, what is the next step? You've imported and processed RAW files in Lightroom CC, but how do you export to JPG? I'm syncing LR across my PC, phone, and iPad Pro. I can't figure out how to export so that I end up with a JPG of the RAW file that I just processed on the iPad. Thanks.

    Great video Spyros! You mentioned retouching in Affinity; how are you getting round the fact that Lightroom only allows JPEG export to Affinity at the moment? It’s seems crazy that we’re only able to retouch in a lossless format.
    My favourite tool in Lightroom is the shadows slider! Adobe seem to have the formula for shadows down when compared to Affinity or any other app out there!

    you edit RAW the same way as jpg files but RAW is the format of choice, as it's a digital negative as a negative was back in the day of dark rooms.

    Do I need to purchase anything to use lightroom on my ipad pro? The app itself is free but is there a service charge? I would like to start editing on the go.
    So I downloaded is on my ipad pro but can't edit anything, keeps prompting for a monthly fee charge. But on my android phone I am able to edit a bit, the basics tools. Could you please explain why? Isn't it's the same thing?

    Great video! One question: At around 3:00 you moved the Highlight slider, which hid the Develop panel and just kept the slider on the image-this allowed the image to take up the full screen. How did you do that? When I move my the slider, the panel still shows, so the image isn’t full screen. Thanks!

    • @davep6603
      @davep6603 5 років тому +1

      Just figured it out. If the image is zoomed, even slightly, the panel will disappear and just show the slider on top of the image. I never noticed that before until seeing it on your video, so thanks again!

    It sounds like with the latest Ipadpros and IpadOS we can now import directly into Lightroom on the Ipad. But what is so confusing is how to cull a photoshoot in a remote location using just the Ipad. Seems like you only get 20 GB of Adobe cloud storage and you might have 30 or more GB of photos. This is a problem since it also seems like you would have to import all of the photos on the camera card to be able to cull in Lightroom and while culling, Lightroom would be stuffing these into the Adobe cloud. Very confusing how to take a few hundred raw images and tag them as keepers, sort of keepers, and losers and do all of this with the 20 GB of Adobe cloud. Almost wish you could sync the Ipad when you get home ond have local wi-fi and skip filling up the Adobe cloud account altogether. Anyone have any insights on this?

      Are you using affinity for your raw processing? I’ve found Affinity’s RAW engine doesn’t handle my RAWs (Olympus .ORF) very well. Lightroom does a MUCH better job.

      Aloha Spyros. . .
      I've been using it on all my .cr2 (Canon Raw - for those unfamiliar with Canon) files since the day I installed it - almost two years ago.
      * * *
      I have only recently begun to make it stumble and stutter when I try to build panoramas with more than 10 or 12 individual images.
      * * *
      I am not a technician of any sort. I have no real idea what goes on inside the programs. I only know what I do with it and how well it handles my demands.
      Affinity does everything I used to do in Lightroom at pennies on the dollar for what I paid to Adobe.
      Affinity's technique with the Inpainting Brush was the attention-getter - and their pricing was the deal-maker - adios Adobe.
      * * *
      I'm anxious to hear what other items may have influenced you against it... as well as hear what things you might like better than Adobe...
