    Not sure how it never occurred to me to learn by finger spelling household items, but I appreciate the insight. Thank you kindly for the lesson 🐻

      You are welcome. Finger spelling is the bridge in learning ASL. Spelling the word and asking what the ASL sign is will speed up your learning.

    Do you always make the motion twice when you’re making the sign?

      @@signlanguagepractice any of them...like when you sign Father are you tapping twice on your forehead, and when you make the sign for name I’ve seen people tap twice on the opposite hand....just in general I guess.

      Really a nice catch! Yes, typically I move the sign twice and that’s a good rule of thumb.
