#LearnASL #LearnHowToSign
I hope you keep on doing this, I don't have any money to take classes, but your videos are easy to learn and accessible!
Yes! We plan to release new videos every week!
Same I hope they keep doing these videos cuz it's hard to find people in the community that are willing to teach the hearing to do ASL
Same.... ❤️❤️
And ive been watching you for two years and i finally got yo use with a new co worker
Thank you for your honesty. I am on limited income as well.
We just learned that my 3 yr old grandson is mute, on the autism spectrum (he understands us perfectly in speech but cannot communicate/speak back, he is not HOH or deaf) and thus learning sign language - my husband and i are committed to learning ASL so we too can understand him as he ages. Thank you for all your videos, they are so easy to understand and thoroughly explained with a ton of helpful hints - grateful you're here!
I’m loving learning ASL. I practice all
throughout the day. Even when I’m
watching television sitting down. Also.
I show my parents and practice their
names. I have also done other family
member names. I also will use the
mirror to see myself signing. It’s
really neat seeing it back! 🤟🏻
-------------------
P.s. One thing I love about the
videos is that I can go back and
watch them over and over again
as many times as needed. I can
go at my pace. Rewind and fast
forward, and stop at a certain
point. I’m 51 so my mind isn’t all
that so I need refreshing. It’s so
good to have these videos. God
bless ya!
Great idea using the mirror.
I am a very senior citizen, always wanted to learn ASL. I practice as often as I can. Thank you so much for your video lessons. You are doing a great job, I know that for a fact. I was a teacher all my life.
Hello. I am a recovering alcoholic. I quit learning sign when my drinking problem got worse. I used to watch a lot of your videos when I was still trying to learn and have recently begun watching them again as I drink less (With the goal being to eventually quit, I guess. I don't think I can drink without making it a weekly or daily thing like most people, and if I continued to drink I would prefer to at least keep it to the weekends and I just don't think I can.)
Anyway keep doing what you do because I work with the disabled population and would like to learn asl in case I ever encounter a client with hearing issues or who is nonverbal and knows asl. Also, you can't remember anything from these videos if you watch them while drunk, so I can't drink/be drunk while attempting to learn, so this goal is actively helping me to cut down on the drinking. Thank you.
I start my college ASL 1 class next week and I have never used or been exposed to ASL prior to. Your videos have really eased my nerves going into the class and I'm starting to feel confident on the basic signs/alphabet because of you and your content! Thank you so very much!!
I love how you give a simple explanation for why the signing is how it is instead of just showing the sign itself. Makes way more sense that way imo 😊
I really don't know how to thank-you. I was getting so bored learning asl. I gave up. I found you on youtube and I am so excited to learn again. I did all 6 150 first words in an hour. Now rewatching all your firsts and this vid too. I can't learn from deaf on-line because I need explanation. Thank you again. You are great!
So glad you are back to learning again! Keep at it.
Hi, I love all your vids. I'm a beginner and I'm learning for my son, he's non-verbal autistic and may never be able to speak in sentences so I'm learning asl to teach him. He's a toddler now, are you able to make a vid for parenting commands/instructions for parents with toddlers... with words or phrases such as sit down, brush your teeth, time to get ready for bed be careful playing put that down or back, lol of course the list can go on lol, but his doctors and therapists want him to learn to follow instructions to prepare him to behave and follow instructions at school with teachers. please and thank you
Love this suggestion. Adding it to the top of the list.
oof im sorry ;/
I feel as tho I was writing this for myself! Lol. We share the same story. My son is 3, ASD and nonverbal. I would love to know these same commands...
I Love How you repeat them 2 to three times ad its free Thank You
Thank you for these videos. You are a life saver. I have been a preschool teacher for 25 years and I am currently taking courses for an additional endorsement on my licensure for Early Childhood Special Education. I am working with 2 deaf children this year. I have spent much of the summer learning as much ASL as I can; most of which comes from your videos. Neither of these children have been exposed to ASL. We have two other people who will be working with these children. One is their case manager. The other is a deaf/hard of hearing teacher, who is also deaf. She gave me a name and I'm very proud of it. As a Native American, it is a great honor when someone gives you a name. I have, in the recent past, suffered a massive amount of hearing loss from labrynthitis. I am also a veteran of the US Army so I suffered hearing loss from being in Field Artillery for 12 years. Thank you again.
I’m a mental health tech trainee and I’m novice in ASL. We have a lot of individuals with developmental disabilities. There are some deaf, some blind, some that aren’t verbal that signs things they want or need. We take our SLPI test in a few months but I like learning different languages even if it’s just a few words in one language. I and advance in Spanish and was beginner in ASL but learning more every day. Yes we get a raise for passing the test but I want to learn only cause I like to be able to communicate with the individuals I’m helping and to teach my daughter and niece since she doesn’t talk. She’s almost 3 and my niece is 5; both with disabilities. But I subscribed to learn more on my own and practice cause even the little tips helps a lot
I am so glad you showed how to let a deaf person know that you are learning how to sign. I ride the bus with a gentleman who is deaf and am taking ASL so that I can communicate with him.
I am watching your videos to enhance what I have already learned. I am finding ASL to be fun but challenging.
I work in relay and learning ASL is something my co worker and I have been interested in doing and practicing our finger spelling. Thanks for the video!
I keep not practicing every day like I should, but I'm so thankful for the way these are broken down. I go through my notebook at my night job and practice everything I've learned so far before moving on the next video. I'm so thankful as an autistic who goes mute, but my area also has a large deaf community and I'd like to be able to communicate on their terms when they show up at my work, my own regret is not learning sooner
I'm 33 and I'm using this channel to teach me and my 4 kids age range 7-13. We all pick it up so well. Your teaching style is awesome, thank you so much!
I am learning ASL with my daughters for homeschool and we are all enjoying it so much thanks to your videos!
This is so awesome. For the past several yrs I’ve became hard of hearing I am a hearing person who now wears hearing aids I’ve known some sign language but am now trying to learn more as I progress to maybe even not hearing and I just want to say thank you so much for making these videos much love ❤️
Thank you, your videos really make it easier to learn ASL. It is not intimidating at all.
Happy to help!
Thank you Meredith.
love your videos, just began ms asl beginners 1 class this week and am very interested in learning this language really enjoying it so far and your videos help so much. very straight to the point and isn't complicated with great explanations on ways to do/remember the signs.
Im so glad I came across you!! Thank you from clear communication to repeating it more than once !!
saving this vid. time stamps are so dang great. this is amazing. going to be much easier referencing this when i attempt to talk to my deaf crush!
I know this video is old but its helping me learn asl alot easier, im autistic and go nonverbal in crowded places or in stressful situations so this helps me not only communicate but if i ever meet someone whos deaf or HOH, i can communicate with them easily
I absolutely love your videos. I am learning ASL and committing to it. Thank you so much for your awesome content!
Oh thank you so much!
Just off a whim I thought it would be neat to learn some ASL. I'm so glad I found your channel as you explain everything and make it easy to understand; I even like your greeting at the beginning of your videos 😁 Hey signers!
You are an excellent ASL teacher.
Love your videos. I’m trying to learn ASL, or at least enough to be able to help when needed and also to be MORE courteous when I meet a non hearing or hard of hearing person. Thank you
I'm trying to learn, and these videos are so super helpful!!! I love them and they are easy to follow. My only issue is im still trying to understand sentence structure. I watched one of your videos about it and thinking im starting to get it down but then i try to put it into use when you are doing these kind of videos and give us examples and i never seem to get it right 🤦♀️ any tips on sentence structures? Or how would you tell a deaf person that you're learning asl, and for them to please sign slowly?
These are great, contemporary videos. So practical and easy to follow.. Love it. Keep it up!
Luv learnin, thanks
Thank you!!!
I glad to know that you have this video to learn asl.

Learning sign is fun and I hope it'll help people too especially if I become an essential worker
I just got my "ASL" T-shirt. Love it! Just realized I'm a larger large then I thought! LOL!
First of all, thank you so much for helping me learn sign language. I'm just starting as a temporary teacher and some girls in the class enjoyed signing. Thought I should learn some and all of your videos helps alot.
Just a friendly tip: to place the sign "to see" before " see you later".
I'm so thankfull of this video and hope you continue - even though I come from Norway and probably should learn some other sign language instead. :p
I’m losing my hearing and while I hope I don’t fully lose it, I need to be smart and proactive. Thank you for providing what you know
I love learning ASL because I get to communicate with deaf people and I also do It for fun.
Thank you so much for this! I just decided to learn on a whim and these are awesome

Love this!
hi thank you very much love you videos
Thank you, for putting out amazing content.
I have learned so much in one day.
Yay!!!
I love these videos I have learned so much already
Quick question on the closing signs. You signed, I hearing, I. Then, I learning ASL, I.
So is the closing sign for each sentence, or at the end of what you are saying to indicate you are done and it is the other person’s turn, like on a newscast, “Over to you, Brian.”
Lol love your explanation. And yes, the closing signal is showing you are completing your thought. You can also close the sentence at the end by point back when indicating a question.
Fantastic video! Keep them coming 👍👍
Thank you!
I've been watching your videos everyday I've made a lot of progress, your channel is underrated.. you explain very well and have many videos about many different things it's amazing
Love these
Thank you!
Thanks so much! I’ve been learning individual signs on an app and have been having trouble putting them together. This real helped!!!
As a Brian, I really appreciated my name in the video.
I have limited resources available in my area. So, thank you for producing these educational videos.
🌷🌷
You are so welcome.

I want to learn asl because I feel like it could come in handy one day in the future also sometimes when I’m having a panic attack I can’t speak so I thought this would be helpful and it is thank you:)
If you guys want to learn signing from Deaf people look around there are some great resources to learn ASL and about Deaf culture from members of the community!
I’m so happy you made this I’m goig. To a friends house on the weekend and her uncle is deaf and I want to try out some sign I’ve been learning
This was super helpful thank you by the way what apps do you use to edit your videos-?
My husband uses the Adobe Suite.
I'm gonna practice these and surprise a deaf person with whom I have a casual acquaintance.
When introducing yourself, can you use the sign for my ate the end just like you did for introducing someone else.
Hi, I think your videos are awesome Thank you
Thank you!
Hey congratulations on 70.000 Subscribers! Yay.
Thank you! Its growing like crazy!
Ty Meredith
Hi there! Thank you so much for this information! I am trying to learn a little more ASL in order to communicate a little better with my student's parents who are deaf. For the "how" in "how are you?", it looks like there is a slight variation. Is it more polite to use the twisting motion or both thumbs together?
Amazing
I am learrrrrrrrning
Thank youuuuu
You're welcome.
Thank you for your amazing videos. I've recently started learning ASL and your videos are the most helpful.
Also, a question, at 6:24 , you explained that only a deaf person can give you a sign name and it's a very special thing in deaf culture. So does that mean for example I as a hearing person shouldn't do it? Is it considered offensive?
anyone know a specific website to search certain words? i want to learn to sign to one of our regular costumers who is deaf. i work at a panda express and want to know how to say other things ! thanks in advance xx
Hi! What would be the proper way to sign "give regards to" ? Thanks!
