But if you go on as carefully as you can, you see the other platform and then you just make a dash for it not bothering with what the audience thinks, or waving your arms or looking dangerous, and difficult and prodigious.

To show how brave he was ... these words come from his book ... The Naked Civil Servant, by Quentin Crisp … The taxi driver in Rosebery Avenue, either from caution or moral indignation, had no intention of making a gesture in my favor. He stood in the road and continued to demand that I get out. This I did not immediately do. One of the boys started to drag me out. It was foolish of me to allow this to happen as, by resisting I became part of the battle. As soon as I was in the street once more, the whole gang started to hit me from all sides. Almost immediately I fell on to my hands and knees in the gutter. For a second, I wondered whether I could stay there forever, but, fearing that I might be kicked, I staggered to my feet and was at once knocked across the pavement by a single, more carefully aimed blow. As I leaned against the front of Finsbury Town Hall covering my own equally ornate façade with my hands to try to prevent rivers of mascara from running down my cheeks, I said, “I seem to have annoyed you gentlemen in some way.” At this there was a sound of genuine amusement quite unlike the barking noise emitted by a lynching party. I knew that this was the moment to try to move away, though I could hardly see where I was going. As I lurched along the wall, voices shouted after me but no one followed. Apparently whatever point my enemies had wished to make had been established.
Totally astonishing words.
Have read one of his books, genius with or without words,. can wait to meet him with OSCAR, VINCENT, EMILY, will remember them every day until then.!..

Женщинам, рожать надо или если уж не рожать, то терпеть перепады настроений, а он хотел, стать женщиной? Даже странно, одна из его цитаты была: " Женщина, не впадает в крайности, она в них живёт. "
И ему после этой фразы, хотелось быть женщиной?!
Не хотелось, нет. Он не был даже трансвеститом, не говоря уже о чем-о замороченнее. А вот что с псизическими особенностями - большой вопрос.
Кстати, откуда цитата на русском? Его ведь на русский никто не переводил.
