      Thank you so much for this UA-cam! I want to learn even more. I don't have diabetes in my family but I was sleep deprived traumatized and I was over eating until I got a phone call saying it was .1 prediabetic. So I changed my behavior I lost 40 pounds I gained from trauma. I'm still working on sleep but on bad days I do let myself have white rice instead of brown rice and have tahini. When I buy tahini I pour the oil off the top. I might also have oatmeal on a day like that or potato. I try and tell myself diversified diversified diversified vegetables fruits have greens have an Apple but when I'm feeling bad I want white rice with tahini. Because it's a new year I put away the rice taking a small break. Only one lose maybe 5 to 7 pounds but anyway thank you for the video if any thoughts please let me know thanks and gratitude as always

    Non gmo Popcorn cooked in avocado oil with some crushed chili peppers and cayenne super satisfying. Add a little butter and even more amazing! Haven’t used packaged microwave popcorn in 35 years. Actually haven’t owned a microwave on that long!

      You may want to try a small batch. Some people sprinkle it on their oatmeal as it can be a little bit messy to cook together. Oatmeal is very healthy and you can add berries to supercharge it :)

    Just drizzle pure coconut or avacado oil with a squeeze of lime or lemon juice as the only additives

    Are you adding any sugar or sweetener to your oatmeals? Or do you let the fruit /berries sweeten it? Also, do you add anything for flavor for home pooped popcorn?

    • @SELFPrinciple
      @SELFPrinciple  2 роки тому +1

      Personally, I like berries. They are awesome! For popcorn, I use a little bit of avocado oil and garlic/herbs for flavor.

    Is it possible the butter added to popcorn or the oil it's sometimes cooked in are the real drivers of diabetes risk? I eat homemade air-popped popcorn sprinkled with tobasco sauce and some salt (for iodine) most days. From this study is there any reason to think that homemade air-popped popcorn without butter increases diabetes risk?

    • @SELFPrinciple
      @SELFPrinciple  2 роки тому +3

      Hi Katie. Yes, that is exactly what the data is alluding to! Popcorn without all the added stuff is rich in fiber and very good for you! This is why there was the J shaped curve.
