    I really want to thank both of you for taking the time to do this. A week ago I was given the diagnosis of stage 3 kidney disease. My doctor wanted to do more tests, another blood test, urine, and ultrasound which I don't know results of yet.
    All he said was cut out salt and we will put you on medication.
    Because of finding your channel, I have been eating lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, cut out funk food completely, it wasn't as hard as I thought.
    My problem is meal size as even though I am small, I am a big eater. I have lost some weight through not snacking, and am now down to 50 kgs. Some lost through intermittent fasting, though losing more through healthy diet, and that bothers me.
    It's really hard to take all this in, but for the moment I have grasped the basics, and feel confident now that I am dealing with this the best I can. Lots of learning ahead of me, and looking forward to learning more, and maybe moving to stage 2.
    BTW, the only thing I noticed about this was, I couldn't walk as far as I used to. This started to happen in Febuary this year, where a weakness in my legs seemed to happen overnight.
    I am now working on strengthing my muscles. So thanks again, you both are greatly appreciated.

    I'm happy and excited to see this partnership and looking forward to more. It is vital information. I ate low carb which produced kidney stones which created block kidney, septic shock, ICU, not expected to live. (spoiler alert - I made it!) 2 weeks in the hospital, 2 surgeries, stents, meds. My liver saved the day by increasing 3x normal size to save me. I went to Whole Food Plants after that (just to put my poor organs on vacation) and was off meds within 6 months. Took 4 years but just 2 months ago my labs are normal with no meds, liver is normal size again, kidney is scarred (and technically have CKD now) but kidney function is normal. PLANTS. PLANTS. PLANTS!

    Thank you SO much for taking time to make this video. 💕
    My Cowboy has stage 3 CKD since 2015, I had to do all my research on learning is from UA-cam channels, he is on the lower end of Stage 3, I am his Wife and Caregiver. His blood pressure is in control, his labs are good 👍 and his Renal Specialist would not help he wanted to take his Co-Pay, his blood draws, and see him then say "see you in 3 months". Enough my Cowboy said Enough is enough. He only sees our Family Doctor 2x a year has his urine checked and blood work for this.
    Renadyl is a Detoxification for Stage 3 CKD, he's on this now for 2 years. The lifestyle changes in diet I have made to help my Cowboy and ot most certainly has. ❤

    I have problems with large kidney cysts. I am running into endless problems getting help for the condition. I recently traveled 215 miles out of town to see a nephrologist. I made the painful discovery that she merely evaluates conditions and sends referrals to other doctors to treat them. WHAT A TOTAL BUMMER!!! NO one where I live wants to help me with the problem. I live in San Angelo, Tx.

    thank you for all the videos that you have made. I learned that I have kidney illness for a longtime ago due to taken a drug called Lithium, I was prescribed to me in 1985, but in 2,007 I found a very good Dr. that took me away from it and put me in another medication that did not interfered with the kidneys. Now I am in stage 4. My creatinin level is 3.9 now.My nephrologist does not want to put me in dyalisis yet he wants to check my levels next month (april 2022) my blood pressure is in control, but I have develop a perypheral neuropaty in a lot of parts of my body, the problem for me is that I can not take any medication for it because it will damagemy kidneys more. I also have gout. There is not a single moment that I am free from pain. I do not know what to do anymore. I thank God that there are doctors like you to help us.
    I also enyoy Michell"s talks on these subjects, they help a lot.

    I dont know that I would describe kidney disease as beautiful as it was put here in the video. It is a progressive disease regardless of what you eat. I watch my diet very carefully and have had lots of cardiovascular issues because of it so lets dont use the words beautiful to describe the disease.

    • @PlantBasedKidneyHealth
      @PlantBasedKidneyHealth  2 роки тому +8

      Hi John. I am so sorry if you got that impression. What I was referring to is the complexity of our kidneys. They are a beautiful organ that does so much work to take care of our bodies. Kidney disease is a devastating illness that we want to teach people about. Understanding how to make your kidneys work better is critical to a healthy life.

    From a philosophical point of view I understand why we should orient towards eating plants preferentially. However where oh, where are the peer reviewed studies showing that meats are bad for the kidneys. There is one religion that has a belief system that meats are bad. That is NOT double blind, peer reviewed evidence.
