All polishers will work well on any paint. It comes down to skills, techniques and experience. Polisher is just a tool and personal preference for the type of manufacturer you’re using. People buy expensive ones like rupes for comfort, smoothness and durability.
Backing pad installation note,,,,,,take a color contrasting sharpie permanent marker….draw a couple of “indexing lines on the pad…..if the pad does stop for some reason, you know…..with proper oscillation and rotation the mark should come into view frequently…..I just ordered the torq 10FX, should be here mid week. Remember the V series polishes….lower number is stronger…..V34/V36 are probably the most common use, medium duty but effective in most cases…..start low strength and work down the numbering sequence….if you use V32 on the first pass, it may be too strong and possibly da,age the same area you were trying to correct.
Love the video and hate to be this guy but watching you wipe off the clay lube with the microfiber towel made me cringe 😬 let the edges of your towel drag and it doesn’t look like you have a water-cut or silk edge towel… that’s risky when your car is looking that good lol. Also a friendly suggestion, spray your pad with the clay lube a couple times before putting the polish on. It will help give it a smoother feel.
@@BlakesGarage Thank you! I have a black 2019 Maserati SQ4 , never had a detail in its life and I was about to call a detailer but they wanted about $300. Rather buy the machine and do it myself ..
@@thewiseguy7100 yeah definitely it's a process but it's actually relaxing and rewarding at the same time. I always like to buy the tools and do it myself for the most part.
@@BlakesGarage I’m exactly the same way, and you save more money on the long run and feel happy because you did it by yourself. Would you recommend this polisher machine or what brand?
@@BlakesGarage sorry for the confusion, I missed the claying step. From some of the initial shots it looked like there was still a lot of bug residue on the paint.
I HATE that this polisher hasn't come to europe with 220v output. My Torq 10FX just died after 3years of proffesional everyday use and I want this one so bad.
@@BlakesGarage which polisher do you recommend the TORQ15DA or the RUPES mark 3? I don't mind to pay the extra money if it's worth it for the RUPES. Thanks.
Wonder if he knows your supposed to wash the car then clay then buff 😂 washing the car first makes a big difference band if your paying someone or a shop to put on a clear bra the paint correction process is wash clay correct clear area of any wax or polish lay bra on you didn't take anything a step further if anything probably polished dirt in to the paint 😩

Hello,
Is a polisher the same as a buffer? Will this take off wax?

Hi, so after claying the car , after polishing it…. what’s the next step? Is polishing suppose to remove swirls?
Cutting compound intensity depends on how bad the paint is. Then medium grade polish then finish polish and sealant or ceramic coating

Of course you scratched the paint because your clay cleaning was pretty useless and you did not use an iron remover after that 4000miles run.
😅
You are local at chemical guys shop?
No there in SoCal somewhere I’m in Sacramento Ca
did you do any decontamination steps before polishing? nice Macan.
Yeah I showed that. I clayed the car and washed it before that.
