real hero. it just proves it takes every man and woman working like you on a separate section in their garage to fulfill the reality and that was/still could be reality. My question is, why choose a dome shape. Was food and soil much more healthy or was the pure freedom of no surveillance or was bullying what was the mind set or fuel of those people to go with domes. Why were domed ufo and domed station wagon corner glass etc so popular before and after the 50s. Was it because of the airballoons? like a 911 tribute but to the giant air balloon fires of the time?
The original design for the B-36 had a streamlined "airliner" nose. Combat experience during World War Two warranted the redesign of the nose to incorporate a nose gun. In order to accomplish this, the flight deck was raised and the dome canopy is the most aerodynamic shape to accommodate the needs of the flight deck design.

Nope. Weight isn't relative. You simply cannot purchase magnesium these days and there is nothing I can to to make her lighter. It is what it is.....
