Looks great, two coats is probably ideal in most applications from what I have seen. Especially the rough areas like hood. Gives you a little extra product on the paint to work with.
Great video. I love this way of shooting videos. Don’t forget what I have heard from everyone testing this product. Don’t throw the application towel in the trash, let it air out naturally before tossing it. Ivan said it will spontaneously combust.
That came out great... definitely a second "heavier" coat on the hood would make it look way better, from the video that's where he started and it looked as if he was applying it a little too "dry". Love the garage!!! Up the Irons!!!
The Zentool looks like a decent polisher but this is the first time I've seen one used. But wow, they are *not* cheap, it better be good! Even more expensive than Rupes! Didn't think that was even possible.. 😁
I noticed on the trunk, that you were too light on product in your application technique. Were you able to correct that area, and how did you correct it if so? Wipe on a second coat? Compound off then re-coat? Thanks for any insight!! Huge difference!! I have been a believer in OPT for a long time!!
Hi Thomkirby and thanks for the comment. Yes, only one bottle was used. The car was in pretty rough shape. There was still some clear coat, especially on the sides. The hood was beat up good and that's where the rest of the bottle of CCR was going however I haven't been able to get a follow up on that as of yet. All in all the hood looked much better than it did although not perfect due to the extreme condition that it was in.
Does the clear coat need to be very thin or almost gone for ccr to be applied? Or can we apply it for a regular car for having more sacrificial layer before we reach to the paint?
Hello and good question. CCR is for restoring damaged clear coats and is not recommend for use in the manner that you've suggested. Hope that helps, thank you for your question and for watching!
Very nice! My 99' coupe is going to get this reastment

Hi Vetteboy1024 and thank you for the comment, so happy you enjoyed it. And yes, that's a great point, let that applicator dry and air out!

Awesome video!
Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed it. The finish was pretty messed up on the Corvette, we were happy to breath some new life into it.

How quick we need to use the whole bottle after first open?
Why didn’t you take it outside to see the real results ?
Can u polish clear coat restorer?
Hi Noel and thank you for the question. Yes, you can polish CCR after 48 hours.
Yeah, but don't compound it and don't overdo it with the polishing either. Bad or good advice, Optimum?
@@Sherukka you can treat it just like regular automotive clearcoat. Polish it just like you would normally.
@@sdguy55 Yeah, but it is a very, very thin layer added so you have to be more careful.
@@OptiCoatofficial thank you
Why didn't you compound it?
They did with Hyper Compound
Is it necessary to wipe off the CCR to level it or just leave it after application?
You just leave it as it self levels. If you wipe it you'll mess it up.
Why was this product discontinued?
It's not, it's available here:optimumcarcare.com/product/optimum-clear-coat-restorer-ccr-
Was this only one bottle used on the entire car? Did this apply to existing clear coat, or was the clear coat gone?

It would have come out better if you actually knew what you were doing. I don't know what your day job is but stick to it
Congratulations, you've just revealed to the whole UA-cam world what a rude and shallow-thinking cretin you are.
You sir, are a first class Asshole!
JC, if your day job is a douchebag then stick with it. You're a superstar!
