You are a person sent by God. I don't have an elder brother but I feel that when I'm listening to you because of the care you show to us man. And thank you so much. Don't know how to repay you back for all this
Hey Yudi, Everyone tells about EMPOWER but no one actually talks about the interest rate. you need to pay almost 120% extra to re-pay the loan within 12 years. it doesn’t make any sense.
This is 100% true. There are almost no SWE/DS job openings in the US for past 1.5 years and it is ONLY GETTING WORSE. Students who are trying to come to the US please wait for a few years and assess the situation here. Don't fall into the peer trap or the posts of your friends on Instagram showing their lovely life. It is brutal out here in the USA. Just imaging not having a job after your Master's and getting deported back to your country with 70 lakhs+ INR / $60000 loan on your head.
Hello Yudi, worthy info in this video👍🏻... Can you please explain the different types of opt, stem opt n other docs related to job hunt n to keep it? Thank you 😊
Hello Yudi, My parents are pushing me to go for my masters in USA. I will complete my Btech in June 2025. Many consultancies are saying that students who will go for masters will graduate in 2027 , till then the recession would be over and the Job market of USA would be good. Would you please clarify the situation in this context. I myself think that I should work for 1-2 years in India and then go for masters after getting some experience.
My advise is to work for couple of years and come for masters. If you get lucky your company may sponsor h1 n you can skip ms. From my 15 yrs of experience
I have talked to over 20+ consultancies in India, everyone said I should only consider universities they recommend and the once they recommended were pretty bad. Rn I'm studying in one of the top 5 universities for CS. Also, if one is having an avg or below avg profile, pls stay in India for now. It's really not worth coming here in this market.
Thank you for sharing your honest thoughts. I'm currently an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science and planning to apply for my Master's in the Fall 2026 intake, which means I'll probably graduate around 2028. What do you think will the market recover by then? I'd really like to know more about your experience, your college, your field of study, and any advice you'd like to share. Looking forward to your response!
First of all this is bogus...!!! Can you guarantee that average students will get a on campus job in the college after 1 year???? No absolutely not... Second of all its even difficult to get a low end job in Walmart these days ... How will international students get into high end companies lol!!!! Most students go back home after loosing their money...
I think you missed the entire point about studying in the US. Different universities have different number of on campus jobs. The students should do their due diligence about what those opportunities look like. There are ways to find out how difficult/easy it is to find different kinds of on-campus jobs. Reaching out to current students on LinkedIn, looking up forums/UA-cam should atleast give the students a decent idea. Not to sound harsh, but if students can’t figure out information like this on their own, then they will very likely struggle to find full time opportunities as well because full time job search is like this but on steroids. Students can start on campus jobs as soon as they have it, don’t have to wait like they do for internship. But yes, everything depends on how people try to navigate on-campus jobs, then internships and finally full-time jobs. You have got to figure out a solid game plan, network exhaustively, upskill constantly and go all out in interviews that you can get. It’s a good thing that on-campus jobs are limited to 20 hours or jobs at Walmart etc that are off limits. They will only distract students and take away jobs from US citizens which should not happen. Imagine getting an MS degree but choosing to work minimum wage job at Walmart. Citizens should not have to face that kind of competition for jobs that pay minimum wage. And yes, the current market is rough. Some people will make it through and some will not. It’s the nature of the risk you are taking. Coming to another country on loans assuming things will be guaranteed is a sure shot way to shoot yourself in the foot. Which is why you need to weigh the risks and make it as less of a risk for you as possible. Maybe scholarships, full ride, LCOL cities and lower tuition fee universities, things like that.

The expectation that you can get on campus job in UTD is really delusional
if you can get a TA and RA job that would be the best thing.
