Bhai andha hai ya gawaar? The stats don’t lie. You can take a look at how legal skilled immigrants were affected during 2016-2020. Stephen Miller is making a return, you can google it and get your answer.
18% H1B denials under Trump, 3% otherwise. 40% H1B RFEs under Trump, 13% otherwise. An agenda to remove STEM OPT last time that didn’t come to fruition. H1B spouses targeted.
“never against us” yes, he’s only against other immigrants. Not you. Like he knows the difference or like he even cares.

Living in USA since 8 years, believe me future students, if you choose MS in US now thinking you will get a job and h1b and everything will be fine , then that’s a bad idea.
    1. OPT STEM OPT will be challenged, there is a possibility that you graduate from university and opt might be reduced to 1 year from 3.
    2. H1B is going to be very difficult. They will increase the salary to be eligible for h1b, which can be level 3 wage/above 120k etc. and getting that salary out of college is very difficult and only after earning this salary you will be eligible for h1b ‘lottery’.
    3. H1B RFE/Denial rates are gonna skyrocket again, so you will never find a peace unless you work for top 20 companies.
I have seen 4 years of trump regime in usa and the only people who survived are extremely talented or those for whom luck favored.
This time trump is elected with more majority in house and senate so passing laws is going to be a lot easier for him.

Any risks that students take during unpredictable governance will be solely the responsibility of that student. Should have included this in your video. Those who get a chance to come to USA can come but there is greater uncertainty of that gamble paying off if they seek a return on investment. There is no guarantee that these students will have their OPT or Stem OPT or H1B approved and whether they will even be lucky to get an H1B. On top of all that, convincing a US employer to offer a job with temporary work status is like going on a mission to mars , nobody will give a chance to even interview.

Great topic Yudi. Waiting for next one. Asper my thoughts Indian tech professionals in the U.S. are making a big impact by driving tech innovation and paying significant taxes every paycheck, which really supports the economy here. Meanwhile, a lot of Americans might prefer jobs with a different work-life balance or run their own businesses while still making a decent living in non-tech industries. So, I’d say any changes from the Trump administration might not hit legal skilled immigrants as hard, since they’re valuable for both tech growth and economic stability..

While the U.S. Department of Labor has set wage guidelines for H-1B worker pay, many companies have found ways to work around these guidelines. A report by the Economic Policy Institute revealed that the majority of H-1B employers pay migrant workers less than market wages. This is why most companies prefer to hire or retain H1b than American tech workers!😂

This immigration attorney here is saying don’t change your plans of coming to the US for education. My suggestion is that if you are still deciding whether to study or not, then wait until Trump gets into office and see where his policies are going. Till then don’t make concrete plans to study in US. Yudi, stop advertising Purdue or any US university for the time being until you know what Trump’s policies are going to look like. I don’t think you’d want your fellow Indians to get stuck there

Even if republicans have presidency and house, they are unlikely to get the 60 vote majority in the senate (maybe they will get around 55) needed for passing most laws. So immigration bills are likely to be bipartisan. That said, budget reconciliation bills can get through with just 51 majority and they an insert certain types of immigration items in there. Good discussion. And yes Steven Miller is going to be very active with immigration policies.
