Bhai andha hai ya gawaar? The stats don’t lie. You can take a look at how legal skilled immigrants were affected during 2016-2020. Living in USA since 8 years, believe me future students, if you choose MS in US now thinking you will get a job and h1b and everything will be fine , then that’s a bad idea. 1. OPT STEM OPT will be challenged, there is a possibility that you graduate from university and opt might be reduced to 1 year from 3. 2. H1B is going to be very difficult. They will increase the salary to be eligible for h1b, which can be level 3 wage/above 120k etc. and getting that salary out of college is very difficult and only after earning this salary you will be eligible for h1b ‘lottery’. 3. H1B RFE/Denial rates are gonna skyrocket again, so you will never find a peace unless you work for top 20 companies. I have seen 4 years of trump regime in usa and the only people who survived are extremely talented or those for whom luck favored. This time trump is elected with more majority in house and senate so passing laws is going to be a lot easier for him.

If an H4 visa holder does not secure employment, the family may be hesitant to purchase a house relying solely on one income. Could this potentially have some impact on the mortgage market?
With Trump in office, a republican sweep in Congress, and a conservative majority in the Supreme Court, you can expect very different and very aggressive immigration policies this term. In relation to the topic at hand, the H4 visa will be the first to go. I predict that will happen within the first week. The free ride is over, friends. Pack your things.
Any risks that students take during unpredictable governance will be solely the responsibility of that student. Should have included this in your video. Those who get a chance to come to USA can come but there is greater uncertainty of that gamble paying off if they seek a return on investment. There is no guarantee that these students will have their OPT or Stem OPT or H1B approved and whether they will even be lucky to get an H1B. On top of all that, convincing a US employer to offer a job with temporary work status is like going on a mission to mars , nobody will give a chance to even interview.

When getting F1 visa, if you say you want to study and go back, why you be worried? If you are worried then, the intention was different right when you applied visa
So what about the time he said , "we need to retain talented Indian immigrants " and also added " grad students should be rewarded a green card upon graduation"
It's unlikely, as that would mean all international students could become US citizens five years after graduation. This could pose a security risk, with wealthy families from abroad sending their children to US schools solely for immigration purposes. Similar to birthright citizenship, where tourists come to the US to have anchor babies.
Indian students and H1B workers who bought home and car and who love to live in America my heart goes for you all the pain anxiety fear you will go through stay strong never give up .....I know the deep pain and nervousness

Even if republicans have presidency and house, they are unlikely to get the 60 vote majority in the senate (maybe they will get around 55) needed for passing most laws. So immigration bills are likely to be bipartisan. That said, budget reconciliation bills can get through with just 51 majority and they an insert certain types of immigration items in there. Good discussion. And yes Steven Miller is going to be very active with immigration policies.
Republicans also have the Senate. Republicans are going to throw illegals out right and left. They already have started cleaning house. Stay in India and start your company there. Trump RULES and it’s going to be GREAT!

Hey Yudi! I need to apply for the STEM extension before my initial OPT expires on January 31, 2025. Do you think I should go for premium processing for the STEM extension before any potential changes if Trump takes office, or would regular processing be a better option?

The H1B quota and rules should be adjusted according to the market condition. Also there is lot of abuse in H1B by the employer. Hope Trump administration will look into it.
Views: Stem opt will increase from 3 -> 5 or 6 years.
who said that
That will be amazing!
Where was that written??
This immigration attorney here is saying don’t change your plans of coming to the US for education. My suggestion is that if you are still deciding whether to study or not, then wait until Trump gets into office and see where his policies are going. Till then don’t make concrete plans to study in US. Yudi, stop advertising Purdue or any US university for the time being until you know what Trump’s policies are going to look like. I don’t think you’d want your fellow Indians to get stuck there
Invest your student visa money back in India and start some business. Very good idea.2024 trump is different from 2016 Trump.
Every citizen or permanent resident living in the USA Deserves the jobs first.
No, born citizen. No outsider
@Dedmexicaans2025 if you have a US passport, you are a US citizen. Who t f cares if you are born or naturalized?
@ Yes to any American citizen and permanent resident.
@@jaysingh-ho7eb No all US citizens deserve opportunities first. Permanent residents come second - they did not take the “pledge of allegiance”. It takes guts.
All our IT departments outsource to India or bring them and fill our jobs as though we in the country cannot do the job which we very much can do it.
Good analysis on the isssue
Thank you Yudi !
Thank you 🙏🏼
As a prospective student who's planning to apply for Fall 2026, I will be requiring stem OPT in 2028 i.e. last year of Trump's 2nd term (yes I said second term and not presidency because who TF knows anymore) I don't wanna get into the H1B lottery and just wanna get a good education, my entire plan depends on whether I can work for 3 years on STEM OPT (Software engineering job) to make back the money I spent in the US (around 110-120k $) should I drop my US education plans because college applications start in 8 months?
Not a good idea if you plan to get work and reimburse your cost. Good only if you plan to get US education and enjoy your time in US.
Definitely yes, start packing. ❤❤
Thank you for the insight.
Glad it was helpful!
When getting F1 visa, if you say you want to study and go back, why you be worried? If you are worried then, the intention was different right when you applied visa
Exactly, F1 is a non-immigrant visa, which you must prove you don't have the intention to stay in the US when applying.
Hi YUdi, in one of the podcast you explained about special kids after 21 can stay on B1. Could you please explain that?
As a Pakistani I would suggest you to Estonia Latvia Lithuania Sweden Finland Norway 😊
So what about the time he said , "we need to retain talented Indian immigrants " and also added " grad students should be rewarded a green card upon graduation"
Yep he also said - Grad students should get green card.
He lies nonstop. Would not count on anything until he really does it.
Oh my gosh 😮💨 don’t believe what politicians say
It's unlikely, as that would mean all international students could become US citizens five years after graduation. This could pose a security risk, with wealthy families from abroad sending their children to US schools solely for immigration purposes. Similar to birthright citizenship, where tourists come to the US to have anchor babies.
You say you’re getting lots of DMs and messages from people, prove it. I doubt people are reaching you for immigration advice.
Indian students and H1B workers who bought home and car and who love to live in America my heart goes for you all the pain anxiety fear you will go through stay strong never give up .....I know the deep pain and nervousness
I am not if it’s going to be that bad, we have to wait and watch.
Less Indians in USA is better
My heart goes out to all the Americans who have been displaced by an egregious visa program that enables barely-qualified immigrants to sit in jobs that should be for American citizens.
@jimmyjuju legal immigrants who work or students pay tax and pay tuition fees for America
Let's first get rid of illegal immigrants uneducated...during covid lot of lives were lost in the USA
@@jimmyjuju let's focus on getting rid of the illegal immigrants undocumented
I have a doubt so every year the h1b cap is of 85k which includes all countries or only for india ?
😂😂😂😂
All countries.
Our USA citizen kids need job in IT after they graduate in Computer science.
Yes correct kids who are us citizens can’t find jobs
@@sajanyouyesyea6268😂😂
@sajanyouyesyea6268 now you understand the problem with the H1-B and H-4 visa program. Cheap, semi-skilled Indian labor flooding the market. But you were once part of the problem, weren't you? This is your karma.

@@Yayisansi123 Because they can't live with small salary and companies want to reduce their labor cost.
The world is living with the choice of Indians in India in the form of Modi, and it will live with happily with Trump.
51 is the senate majority needed to pass a bill. Republicans have 53 senate seats.
Trump will favor a PhD over an MS. Students should start thinking in that direction. Trump will also be good for India-US relations as he has good relationship with Modi
Hopefully yes
A lot of Indians came to our country and tried to align with whiteness and voted their own futures out of this country. Now they’re hoping for grace. I will not be shedding one tear.
Bro one small doubt iam planning for my masters for this spring 2025 iam a but worried will this changes in stem opt impact this batch also? Or else will it impact upcoming batches? My visa interview is also scheduled on December is it really worth-it coming to usa at this time…..
Iam just hoping that the economy will be set and we can expect jobs by the time i finish my masters
Hey Yudi, I will be joining your event in Hyd. But i am at a crucial point of application phase, is there any way we can schedule a 1x1 discussion for some time.
Good luck . Despite knowing people voted for trump. Why now cry. His country , his rules. Country cones first. Doors open for talented people.😊
Thank you
Hey Yudi! I need to apply for the STEM extension before my initial OPT expires on January 31, 2025. Do you think I should go for premium processing for the STEM extension before any potential changes if Trump takes office, or would regular processing be a better option?
Go premium dude, worst case you loose few bucks!
I have heard delays already so why take a chance.
What about India court giving out Modi inclined decision? Case in point Babri masjid? So nothing new or different.
As someone who has to start applying to colleges for tech courses in 8-9 months and the decision depends solely on whether I'll get a 3 year OPT should I still apply?
He will increase minimum wage for h1b and that will be big redline as most employers cant afford to pay....that will trigger all h1 rejections until u prove u have that paid
That’s a possibility but nothing has changed yet, these are all predictions so we will have to wait and watch
There is literally an ad every two and a half minute.
Buy premium
I didn’t do it. It’s the UA-cam. They know it’s trending so
Buy premium very cheap in India. If no money then use a blocker like ublock origin
If all answers were going to be they don’t know then why are we evening watching this.
With due respect sir, if you thought trump will not win the election and it gave you a shock then you are not a good lawyer as you think.
Exactly💯
Citizenship by birth will be changed?
Not really
Yes
One of their agenda is to give citizenship only to kids of PRs/Citizens and this was repeatedly said in many campaigns. Have to wait and see if this would be really implemented or legal battles would follow. I think some of the countries in Europe already follows this
Will be removed for illegal immigrants
@@DharmicAryano it will be for all
Since Modi is a great friend of Trump, can he convince him to stop this crackdown?
@@rifahulabrartaiseer7998 hell no! We the people of the United States VOTED FOR ALL OF TRUMPS PLANS! MASS DEPORTATION OF ALL ILLEGALS! If he is saying Elon Musk is funded by you and me, that’s better than funding illegal immigrants food coupons and their hotel stay. People need to remember it’s a privilege to go other country than thinking country should do something for me. Come here legally, achieve ur dream. Like he mentioned self interest is importance, so USA people think of their interests.
This is about legal immigration . Trump will surely clamp down on legal immigration , on H1B for sure . Trump wants immigration from Europe only . He will use different measures to stop non white population moving to U.S. , wheather it’s legal or illegal . Latinos should be ashamed of themselves . They have brought it to themselves .
We do not need validation from anyone especially bad people. Remember that.
