Thank you for posting this video. I just finished the install for this headlight. I had issues securing the headlight bracket to the mounting bracket. One of the holes was not threaded.
If you reach out to custom dynamics. I’m sure they’ll make it right. They’re really good with stuff like that and honoring their warranty and products. Hope the video was of some help
Nevermind. I’m dumb lol for some reason I was thinking I added the shark demon lighting from custom dynamics at the end of this one. But if you reach out to A10 Moto (new owner that replaced the chomo) they’ll get you squared away with a new bracket
@@Gimps_Garage thanks bro. I forgot to mention that the baja designs harness that plugs into the factory harness on the bike was incorrect also. When plugging the Baja designs harness into the bike harness, there’s a plastic notch inside of the connector. The notch on the Baja designs harness did not line up correctly. The Baja designs connector has the notch 180 degrees backwards. So I had to take a razor blade to the notch and cut it so I could connect the harness… not impressed and this was a customers bike
@@blazinhott112 Jesus. That’s insane! Yeah mine damn near lit on fire lol I would definitely suggest using LSFabworks and their Baja kit if you want to keep installing them and maybe not use the other company. That’s a lot of inconsistencies for the price they are.
I was going to get Cali raised moto kit, but for the price of their lp6 I was able to get lp6 kit and s2 floorboard light kit from lsfabworks. Got them on and absolutely love both kits. Glad I didn’t get Cali and unknowingly give money to a p3do
Yep. Wish I would’ve known LS fabworks did a full kit. But at the time of buying mine, we didn’t know that Jake was a p3do. But now that I know #LSFabWorks has everything and more. I’ll be sending people their way. 🤘🏻

I love LP6 Cali Raised Moto headlights, they just came out with LED Headlight bar style but I love these ones way better, mines are pink and green for each bike. Looking Amazing Gimpy.
Thanks buddy. Appreciate you. I just want to clarify for other people reading these comments. Baja designs makes the lights. Cali raised moto is just a manufacturer that makes a compatible mounting bracket and wiring harness to mount those lights.

I just did some resarch, I cancled my order with "that company". Not that there is not good people working there I also will not support nor condone what took place with the owner.

There’s no time limit on condemning people like that and making others aware of it. Idc if it was 40 years ago. We don’t want anyone like that in our moto communities

Thank you for touching on the fact that the lp6’s are not synonymous with Cali raised chomo. I don’t think a lot of people understand they are different companies.
Yep. Unfortunately people see Baja designs or just the lp6 on a road bike and they automatically align that though to Cali raised. Because Cali raised has constantly marketed that image for over a year straight. But definitely entirely separate companies. 🤘🏻

Definitely was a massive headache. They’re lucky that their faulty harness didn’t completely destroy my bike. Or it would’ve been much worse for CRM.
If you connected your harness to the battery before it started smoking, it doesn't matter that your 50A fuse was removed. You'll be applying power regardless. It sucks that there was a manufacturing defect that caused that fire. I personally installed Kleen Moto's Rigid Adapt XP lighting kit on my 2016 RG a year ago and it's been great. Also looks better than Baja Designs too due to the curves the lights have.
With their harness. They have a fuse in the harness as well. With that fuse removed. It should’ve been a dead wire. But because there was a ground issue in there harness, it bypassed what should’ve been a protected line. No power should’ve gone to the lights. It’s very strange. Did it all the same way with the replacement harness. No issues. I’ll have to checkout the rigid lighting. Don’t think I’ve ever really looked at them

🤘🏻 yeah man. Their harness was trash. Grounding out inside of itself. Luckily it was just their harness that torched and it didn’t have the time to burn through to the bike’s harness.

@@THEM_ROBINSONZ appreciate the kind words. Means a lot. I enjoy teaching and reviewing. If a video helps one person, it was worth the money and time spent. Production will get better when I’m able to relocate the Chevy where the 3rd car spot is and get a table lift into that spot.
With that kit if you wanted to run the custom dynamic vent light’s would it still mount up?
Yes. They have now included “speed nuts”. The speed nuts come with the vent lights. So if someone already has a vent light, they can contact us for the speed nuts & instructions. Anyone purchasing the vent lights new will have them included in the box.

great video, i would suggest doing a nasa splice anywhere you have to solder or use the melt solder connections you used. makes the joint stronger than the rest of the wire.
That’s actually very good advice. Not sure why I didn’t think about using that. Looks like I’ll be doing that when I swap the harness out for a different brand.
If the wiring harness was wired directly to the battery, it wouldn’t matter if the main fuse was plugged in or not.
There’s another inline fuse in the harness. Between the battery and the lighting. It should’ve been a dead wire with that 30A removed.
There are some generic Companys out there that sell the plug n play headlite LED bulb inserts that fit in the old halogen inserts in your stock headlites....Alot cheaper price and alot better light to see at nite than halogens....Dont need the latest and greatest or the best....I am happy with Paying $130 from Dennis Kirk on my Dual headlite setup on my Dyna FatBob...
Hell yeah. If it ain’t broke and works for you. Don’t fix it. 🤘🏻 only reason I do a lot of this stuff to the bike is to show people how to do it themselves and I enjoy it

@@bradlozano2571 definitely cheaper alternatives that are probably just as good. For sure. I did a series of videos on inexpensive machined billet aluminum covers from a Chinese company. The components were great quality for a fraction of the cost of other brands
@@Gimps_Garage I get maybe 90% of my aftermarket parts from Dennis Kirk...I havent found a better go to place that constantly has good quality parts at the lowest prices and shipping is quick...I get parts in 4 to 5 business days...I dont concern myself with where the parts are made...I just want my Bike up and running without breaking my Bank...

lol yes. Absolute rushed out garbage. For the price. These kits should be flawless. Also. It claims “plug n play”. Soldering joints and crimping terminals is definitely not plug and play.

Great video, unfortunately the lights are completely banned in Germany. like so many things.
That’s terrible. Why are they banned? Did you know that #customdynamics is releasing a road legal version? Called the “ #sharkdemons ”. They’re going to be sending me a set to do an install, review and full breakdown on the new DOT legal version.
In Germany everything has to be approved by an authority. No matter what. The lights could blind other road users. That's enough for a ban

yes, it's ridiculous. But it is much, much worse in Germany. If your exhaust is too loud when checked. They take your bike away from you. And you have to walk home. Even if you have false front lights or tail lights. They take your bike away.

Who else makes brackets and harnesses for these lights? And do you know if the other companies have a kit for Street Glides? If I wanted to install this kit, I'm sure as hell not giving my money to a known pedo
LS fabworks makes a kit. I’d recommend them. And they’re veteran owned company
What I find interesting and confusing is some of these people that are enraged with a business will still support & vote for a candidate that objectifies women and encourages sexual violence against them in their own words. I don’t understand their reasoning.

Yep. But too little too late imo. It’s an attempt to save face from the backlash and massive unfollowing they received. All they did was remove the owner from legal papers. I’m sure he’s still involved. Still gets his owner’s cut. Nothing changed but the name of the owner on paper. They knew about his past when they went into business together. They were fine with it then. They’re only opposing it now, because the public knows.

@@chrislamarr if you’re wanting to go with Baja designs, I would say buy the kit from LS Fabworks. It’s a better kit anyways. But for $600 less, you can get the custom dynamic shark demon which are equally as bright and much easier to install. Comes down to personal preference. But I’ve been very pleased and impressed with the shark demon.

Unless you’re sending everything you bought from Cali raised moto back & getting a full refund of your money there no reason to pick & choose what you wanna keep… To each their own… FK CALI RAISED MOTO !
That’s the problem. There won’t be a full refund. Because it’s been installed and is working fine. I am however pulling their harness out and their bracket. Just going to get one from LSFabworks.
