Pdam stands for: Pacients Development Active Measures.
which is a protocol for the study of the human mind when the patient reaches a stress amount of mental pressure.
likely Pdam was a subject of research and when put under mental pressure, her personal researchers don't exactly pull the plug or abort her missions, instead they study her while she's suffering.
to add a connection to this phrase: this word was used as hidden protocol for classical mental research institutes back in the days when people were studying human behavior when the subject hasn't slept in weeks or months.
Totient falls under the same mental concept. totient is a latin word for "So many" in this form, it could also refer to Euler's Totient Function, The study of a functions value.
in which like PDAM, is put under mental stress, thus totient is like her, a victim of human research.
By the way,
don't let people tell you how to correctly pronounce anything.
In all fairness the migration between Japanese and english translations have long ago ceased to have any form of correct pronunciations.
Like how we call godzilla by that phrase, when his correct pronunciation is Gojira,
or how we call their race: Japanese, they pronounce themselves as nihonjin.
so take that reality into consideration, and pronounce it as best as you can,
but there's no such thing as "The correct way to pronounce it." lol
Neat to know, the meaning behind the names as they don't really go into that in the game.
I always call it Aqua Vit. Since U, V and W are interchangeable with one another as QU, CC, CH and K are with one another.
Akvavit weaponry is a particular favorite if mine when I want say "fuck it" and 3 tap Nexts

I'm glad to have a Armored core lore channel like this coming into existence since I always loved the world of Armored Core and thought it deserved something like this. I hope if Armored core 6 is real and is in production that it will go down the path of Armored core 4 and FA but allow you to pick the companies you work for (Something i did like about verdict days multiplayer) it would be the ideal game I think. And if the game has lore as deep as Armored core 4 and FA, I would enjoy you diving into it and covering it.
I have to agree with you about the corporations and the lore. If it is you know I will be there.

I've been playing armored core since the demo disk that came with a playstation magazine back in the late nineties this series is amazing and I need it to come back

I hope to *eventually* see AC5 & AC:VD lore. I never got to play those at all, but I could never begin to grasp their story for some reason, no less the lore and context. It seemed like the story was all over the place even worse than AC4's.

Okay, I’m sorry dude but it’s Ack-Va-Vit. Fiona pronounces it properly in AC4 so next time I would try to practice the pronunciation before making a video.
Another problem, Akvavit having 3 Lynx? I’m pretty sure Totient is either Tepes V or he’s never been a part of them. He wasn’t in 4.
