This video is doesn't only speak on the state of star wars but media in general!! Be it music, gaming, etc. There is 0 passion now. Everything's a cash grab, because these studios are banking on legacy titles to get people in theaters and finally after years, people are starting to catch on to the act. You said it perfectly, we need the creators to care as much, if not more than the fans. Simple.
If we support what's actually good and voice how much we like it they will see that. Looks at puss in boots they saw spider verse and went "damn ight we gotta step it up"
If all star wars fans just stopped supporting Disney, and only supported fan films, Disney's star wars monopoly would end, and star wars would get so much better, both very quickly, but people don't do that, cause they complain and complain, but don't do anything about it.
Can you have a monopoly on something you already own all the rights to? Disney at its core needs to change its clear wherever you look, marvel, Pixar, star wars. They're all suffering and you're right the fans won't boycott. But they also won't be as excited to watch the stuff. If you look at their viewership its clearly plummeting they'd be extremely naive to not be actively trying to find the problem.
Its not our job to fix star wars. Im allowed to complain about a bad meal at a restaurant or a bad movie. There is no logical reason why i should have to do it better myself. Its perfectly fine to criticize. You have wrong ideas.
Sorry for another yap fest but I just want to see some good Star Wars stuff and it seems like now days the default reaction to anything Star Wars related is "Star Wars is dead" Also I would like to clarify this was recorded a few weeks back.
People have been saying Star Wars is dead for years. The hate has always been there yet we still have gotten new content whether it’s through movies, series, books, or videogame. I’m kinda done with the term (an IP is dead). As long as there is a group of people who invest in something, which there are it won’t die.
The new star wars movies are terrible. The shows are also terrible. Thats why people say "Star Wars is dead" Its because Star Wars looks like it will never be good again. That's why its dead.
Disney is bad. I never liked Disney. I never thought Disney could add anything positive to Star Wars. I never watched a mickey mouse cartoon that I truly liked. Disney was always like a forced meme. There was never any chance that Disney could make an interesting star wars movie.
I think Star Wars is dead for the foreseeable future, however, because when a franchise falls so far in such a short amount of time, rebuilding it takes far longer than one might assume.
@@TheGh0stType Well, I can't disagree with you there. I do still think that sprinkles of great media in an otherwise abysmally written universe (under Disney, that is), still need to become splashes and eventually waves for that universe to become as great as those sprinkles. Think Andor and some episodes of Visions, great they are, responsible for a resurgence they are not.
@sparksdog8111 Exactly! They gotta make some good films that are in the theater and not just Disney + cheap content. Imagine we get a trilogy with the love and care that spider-verse got! I think that would be enough to get people on the hype train. Steer away from the sequel Era and give us good quality and creative films. Live action or animated I'd argue it doesn't matter.
@@TheGh0stType I completely agree (with both comments). At this point I think they need to move away from the current era much as you do. Sure, the sequels and what's between them and the end of the OT are part of a rather damaged and irreparable part of this franchise, but luckily that's not too big of a deal. The end of the OT closed out the original Skywalker Saga, we can have the sequel era existing without caring too much since it doesn't ruin an already great ending, it's just an epilogue nobody asked for. So, yeah, like you said, Disney ought to move on from this era, forwards or backwards it doesn't matter, get several centuries out of this current era in either direction and the franchise will flourish.

I think the lack of creativity in its latest shows is noticeable it’s to the point where I haven’t been interested in the newest shows
I feel the same way man. I feel it with marvel too I'm super behind and don't have a reason to care
I got half-way through Obi-wan, and that was the last SW I watched. Like you say: it's going to take a banger to bring people back.
🤣 that's rough man

Disney and Jar-Jar Binks killed Star Wars.
No shot, Jar Jar is over hated

If it's good people will watch it. They just haven't put out anything good in a long time 🤷♂️

Not saying that that will happen but 🤷♂️ if they want to let the ship keep sinking keep pumping out cheap content I guess lmao
