    I found that between the two there is a difference in the way the engraving turns out and the power and speed settings are totally different between fill and offset fill. Like you said you need to test. Actually, test, test test is more like it. Good to know what the different settings are in Lightburn.

    I would recommend using flood fill instead. It avoids white space to cut down on traversal time and it produces an even engrave. it won't be the most efficient in every situation but it does give a better engrave over offset fill.
    offset fill has a problem where depending on your project if the laser has to spend a lot of time in a small area that area will engrave deeper than the others, flood fill does not suffer from this problem
