Laser cutting, engraving, tutorials, & projects are the main focus of this channel - hello, I’m Dave and I would like to say welcome and thank you for stopping by. I’m retired after serving 30 years in the Army - my background prior was woodworking, roofing, & construction. While I have very little experience with lasers (since Feb 2023) and even less with making videos, I do like learning new things and sharing knowledge. I plan to learn a little more each day and to make at least one video per week (more when time allows), so check in often to see what I have learned and hopefully to pick up some skills and techniques to help you on your laser journey as well. I currently have the XTOOL D1 Pro 40W laser (extended) and the XTOOL M1 10W Desktop Laser. Your input is welcome, so ask questions or send comments anytime and I’ll respond as quickly as possible.

Oh god, than you for these tutorials... I' so sick of long winded and overly detailed video when I simply want to know what button to push!!!!!! There are times I want and need in depth tutorials, but most of the time I'm literally trying to accomplish a simple task and I don't know the tool to use for it. Thank you....

Hey Dave, thanks this was helpful. One thing I noticed... it seems like when you snap to something... it looks like your snap is more snappy than mine. Is there a setting somewhere to make mine more snappy? Greg
Hey Greg. Since version 1.6, if you hold ALT while approaching your snap point, it will snap from further away.

Have you noticed that when the laser moves, in this demo, it is CANTED as it moves?
