    This was a complete and total knowledge bomb. One of the best I've watched. I never bought in to one handed drills but now I see them from a totally different perspective. Great video!!!

    My son is 9 and your videos have been invaluable in helping me understand how to help him improve his swing. Out of curiosity, with all of this swing path stuff and keeping the bat in the zone for a long time, why do you think Ks are at an all-time high in the MLB?

      Thanks and I’m happy they help! I have a video coming soon on that topic. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Should the barrel path make a Nike logo?!

    Is there a reason why he is using a full length bat? I know many players that do this drill with a mini bat. Is there more of a benefit doing it with a regular bat

      I think you can do it both ways. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Do you think sometimes these drills screw up a swing? I know its a drill but his hips are not working like they do in his real swing, at contact. His hands are ahead of his hips, It looks very handsy and like it might mess of the naturalness of his swing. I guess if this is a drill he has done in the past it should not effect his numbers. Just see some guys putting up godd numbers try new drills and their numbers go down. Great Video either way and input!

      I think it depends. There are certain drills that focus on very specific parts of the swing. Too much of one drill could potentially hurt other parts of the swing.

    Should a player be swinging as hard as they can to try to hit hit the ball or tone back the aggression and just swing to make solid contact?

      Yes

      It you're in a game it depends on the player's skills and the situation. If you're practicing, you need to practice at different intensity levels to get a feel for your swing.

      I'd say the swing is a bit more under control than a game swing. Focus on trying to get top hand palm up as soon as possible. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    In a load position. If you think in your head “knob to the ball/or hands to the ball” will your barrel automatically be on plane? I was watching your video on Carlos Correa and it looks like his knob was going to the ball causing his barrel to be on plane.

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  5 років тому +1

      The knob does need to turn up a bit to get the barrel to turn up into the ball. If you go barrel down to the ball and don't allow it to turn up then you will probably hit down through the ball too much. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

    Matt do you think one handed finishes can lead to slumps prolonged and inconsistency

    • @bradymason4928
      @bradymason4928 5 років тому

      I play baseball and if u have a two handed swing it makes your swing more circular. If you finish with one hand you are going to be able to extend out and make contact with the ball better . You want to make contact out in front more

      No I think it's personal preference honestly. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Hey Matt when I going against fast pitches I kinda get stiff but when it’s normal pitchers I’m really loose any tips

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  5 років тому +1

      Only adjustment I make is trying to start earlier and make sure I am loaded and ready to hit on time. If you feel stiff you are probably trying to swing harder. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Hey Matt, what are good drills for kids that are pretty good to contact but tend to roll their hands over early after contact and hit alot of grounders to third and SS?

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  5 років тому +1

      I think it starts with understanding what in the swing is causing it. I've put a bunch of drills up here, but they can all technically be done incorrectly. Thanks for watching and commenting!
