      Antonelli Baseball Matt awesome video, question for you. When you are pulled back and fully separated in the swing what muscle do you feel a stretch or tension? I feel it in my front lat muscle but im not sure if that’s right

    Terrific breakdown. I have introduced you and this page to my son (17) and daughter (15) they've been playing since t-ball. They will and have so much to gain from your videos and insight about the game. Thank you!! New subscriber - Dan, Chicago

    I started following this channel after my son was hit twice in a game with the baseball; kids pitch. Started watching the catching mechanics video which used soft balls to develop hand-eye coordination and confidence. Now, my Son watches these videos at 7 years-old and prefers them over video game videos. It is an amazing compilation of knowledge and has helped a young boy through the challenges of being afraid to being in love with the game.

    Your enthusiasm is great and view of pros and how they swing is accurate. To Me your understanding of swing mechanics base on swing coil ideas and how to create it is very limited in generating force into the bat to hit the ball at a 50 percent rate. .
    My self for baseball bat swing mechanics I teach there are three areas body to be develop a affective swing Mechanics with the goal of having the highest chance of hitting the ball. The first area like you did is lower body but foot work at basic level for me they do not need to move the front foot at all. What you show moving the front foot looks hard for young new baseball players for there is so much movement of feet which is hard to control balance in the swing it self and that makes them weak.
    Lower body is the foundation of movement of the hips that creates a link with shoulders. The upper body is shoulders and head setup for shoulder rotation and third point is grip around the bait and how to use left arm and right arm in the swing to bring bat to ball.
    My view point is hips turn so feet and knee direct hip action. Here is point I take which does not make me right. The goal in the swing is to have a fast hip turn so setup of the feet to make the hips turn fast without movement of the feet. Shoulder rotate and the separation between hips and shoulder makes the coil for the goal is have the hip turning pull the shoulder rotation to bring the hands to the ball.
    Hands take the rotational force and increase that force into the bait for a snap of the ball. How do you build swing mechanics which is shape of the body for movement of the bat that produces the highest hitting ability.
    I have a view on bat swing mechanics title. Baseball bat swing mechanics upper body on UA-cam look for my name. It would be honer to get review from someone that has as much knowledge as you do. I am physical trainer for movement base on core breathing and I see things different. What I show is basic for young people to hit the ball at the high rate like over 50 percent. I do have lower body swing mechanics on UA-cam from stances. I take a open stance of feet in the swing mechanics and how to setup feet for knee to turn so shoulders rotate. I would like to get a different view point to see my weakness in view point. Have good day.

    This is, without a doubt, the best short video that covers nearly all aspects of a great swing.
    Thank you Matt, for everything you do! My kid is almost 6 and grasping these concepts already(in fun, non-work, non forced ways when he wants to). You also show a great example with your son, who is 7-8 right?(keeping it fun but infusing some basics of expert mechanics).

    Hey Matt, 2 questions.
    1) How big is the difference between minor and major leagues when it comes to facilities? Like, could you compare mlb and minor league clubhouses?
    2) Did you or anyone of your teammates ever get tired of or bored with baseball? Did anyone ever just get enough of it after so many years?

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  5 років тому +2

      They are typically completely different. I will do a video for you. And I think baseball can become monotonous. You do have to really love the routine of baseball to continue to play every day.

    I love ur channel and all you do, but I just having problem agreeing with the turns of the barrel for many reasons- one been the position of ur head when you get to that position -looking up instead of straight at the ball and 2 -Bonds and Alex and case who happens to be my favorite Players when it comes to talking about the this subject.. they strongly believe in going down to level with the swing and why, so I tried both ur way and Their way and for me after 1000s of swing going down to level has worked much much better..
    I still love ur channel and think that what you show here is golden 90%

      Todd..looks to be 3/4 inch. 1/2 is too skinny..1 inch to thick…3/4 will give a little and that’s what you want. A slight bend on impact..then it reforms.
