I remember seeing this video on FM TV, a cable show in Denver, and I had to HUNT for the record, Finally found it in an "Import section" at a small store, Love this Song. To Me, it is one of those songs that, you shouldn't watch the video, you should just close your eyes and let the Music / lyrics manifest into Your Own visuals... To this day, it is Just as Awesome as it was then... When the Guitar comes in and works With the synth, (at the time , I didn't think the two Ever could) Masterpiece. Period. Respect
I very much prefer the vocal remix on the Chrysalis version compared to the original Flowers version. They are more up front in the mix and seem polished off by either a chorus effect and/or delay. I also like it that with this version, we don't hear the click track (a hi-hat sound on a drum machine) droning on at the end of the song. It's still there in this mix and you can hear the timing between human and machine if you listen carefully. This is a classic song that I think has stood the test of time and is still my all time favorite synth-based song of all time.
Brilliant! I remember when this song came out... MTV was good and this video was the best! Thanks so much!
This should have been a commercial for The Lovely Bones. I love this song!
bliss.... thank you for this

+Steve Hampton Well put, very evocative for me.
+Steve Hampton Yes, Yes, Yes , Yes, and Yes.... Tied for my Fave of all time, with "Images of Heaven" by Peter Godwin.
Original Flowers Icehouse album cassette literally got worn out through repetitive play in my car in 1981
