- From a Bengaluru-based Indian start up that's making waves in the area of indigenous thermal and weapon sights. First orders placed by NSG recently. More orders expected from the other central police and paramilitary organisations. Stay tuned, you'll be hearing a lot of Tonbo in the next few days.
I'm genuinely seeing a bright future for military equipment manufacturing in India...and ironically, that came via a night vision camera 😂😂
Jagannath Barman hahaha. nice
Sir BSF need this device. Bangladesh border areia is very dangerous. Many people across Indian border. Sir I like your vedio.
ABIR MONDAL
I believe BSF already have this ,I've seen them using it to find cow smugglers .

This is great Sandeep, I really love these small companies like Tonbo, MKU, etc. Please do more on Tonbo, MKU, etc. products if you can. And please try to get into India's first private sector small arms plant, with Punj lloyd. You can give much exposure to guys like Tonbo who are small, but have high quality, international level products.
Question: Is the video lagging the audio? If yes, then is it cause the sights have a slow processor? I am a noob when it comes to this stuff, so would love if you can shed some light on this. I know you are a big defence enthusiast. Thanks.
Seriously Sandeep Sir you should get a full-time cameraman or atleast a bipod or tripod.
Grt sardar jii bro iam impressed with this video this man knows what he is talking about if they are exporting it why not massive induction by Indian army.
already manufactured by OFB as Zittara
Tavor's good, but that is not our own design. D.R.D.O should develop bull-up assault rifles, cause they'll be the way to go in near future. Already countries like UK, China, Israel are equipping their forces with bull-pup's as standard rifle...
OFB doesnt manufacture any sort of Tavor, Zittara didnt happen. Punj LLyod have recently, like couple months ago, have just raised a small arms plant with IWI in India. This includes all range of IWI weapons, this including the Tavor. This is the first private sector small arms plant, one of many in time.

when you don't know anything, better keep your mouth shut
VivekMishra2010 you're a dumbass. That variant never materialized. This is well known by now. OFB website don't mean shit.
Already exported to Peruvian army but ours I guess is not so interested
Tonbo has already exported to US Special Forces and others but they aren't encouraged to talk about it much.
bcuz our brave army wont get any mithai along with it !
Anant Gautam we are already in the process of buying it but it will only finalise after the assault rifle has been finalized
We are in the process of buying it, it will be finalised after the assault rifle deal is through. Netizens love being backseat drivers! Will solve all problems from the comfort of their homes.
He will sell to Peruvian army, and We will buy it rebranded from peru.
Extraordinary developments in optical equipments. Congratulations to our Bharath home team.
So good... future is looking good for indian weapons
Folks, it looks lie the Defense industry in India is really picking up bit by bit. First the Punj Lloyd Israeli arms factory, now startups like these (where there was absolutely nothing before).
Even the public sector seems to be a bit more vigorous. Their JVPC ( Minsas) by all accounts already seems to be a quality product.
Presently, Infantry`s basic night vision is BEL made PNS, I bet Tonbo`s product is better ..
Well, that's night-vision, these are thermal, which is better actually... Even MKU guys manufacture normal night-visions, but there were no TI manufacturer in India before TONBO, so that's good...
Oh my God. This is what private companies bring to the table. We should do more.
HAPPY DIWALI Mr Unnithan, bro u r doing a great job, thanks.
Waiting for the night-vision and thermal fusion, it'll be revolutionary for our forces...
Excellent. Making Bharat proud.
You are great sandeep sir....
#make in india
Every video is better then the last one .. Sir good going ..
Tonbo should start focusing on reflex sights and red dot sights for assault rifles
However the US partner UWS with which Tonbo won the Peru deal was sued by another US firm for breach of contract. Is the Peru deal still on?
We need some more companies like this. Big Indian business houses need to improve research and develop some more products and Indian government need to coordinate with them, that's the need of hour.
OMG..... tonbo ur a proud of india ...
Indian government & indian army should consider these product from new indigenious startup company tombo seriously.
according to their website it :-
subsidiary of Sarnoff Corporation and Stanford Research International
They were, they became independent in 2008.
These sights can't be used on sniper guns because snipers usually hit a Target more than 300ms - 400ms away and the thermal sight has range of only 200ms.
But that's an another thing main point is that the product and it's IPR is Indian & I hope soon they will introduce some more sights with greater range.
If the user puts a normal magnification sight in front of the thermal imager, then it can do the job, you don't need TI's with greater range...
AYON BISWAS no bro the optical sight will do it's work but this thermal sight only work or we can say producing thermal image up to only 200ms. But that's a good range our counter insurgency forces will utilities these sights extensively. Happy DIWALI
Pushpendra Rai Think about the normal magnification sight in front of the TI as a hand which can bring an object which is at a greater distance than 800 metres, if the sight is bringing the target at a distance of 400-500 metres, then after that the TI can process that data. And the TI can recognize a human from 1+ km distance, so I think it can surely work with the magnifier in front of it...
AYON BISWAS bro as we can see in video optical sight is mounted behind the thermal imager on picatinny rail, and I assume that's the right way how they use these gadgets.
It has no ipr. It's just an existing technology sights
Super work Mr. Sandeep. Can you give some info on the new rifle tender??
Congratulations.Very bright people
dear sandeep sir can you please make a viedo on insas 1c rifile and ghatak and ofb mag 7 lmg please sir.
Awesome ,we should initiate its use ASAP
this equipment r awsm i hope indian army and bsf very fast equiped with this equipment
Cool gadgets for our armed forces. But these sights are specifically made for special forces which are actually act in close combat situations.
Do video on testing bullet proof jackets and helmets used by Indian army and if possible on mciws gathak
please make video on optics used or may use in rifle of Indian army and special force
Keep up the great vids!
Sir videos on body armour
I've asked on you on Twitter and UA-cam
You never respond to any body armour request
please make a video on our own sniper.
Hello Dear Sandeep...can u do a video on new kevler helmets acquired by ia.
aashish1703 check livefist for that
Impressive briefing...
We should make weapons on our own
Sir, what is the status of DRDO's mciws.
Wow... didn't know about this.
But the circuit boards for these sites are imported......
debayan basu who told you so? Your source please
But the value addition while they are churning out these products are so much more, they may add snapdragon processors but their final product can fetch much more money than their spending in importing those processors. And a TI manufacturer was needed in and for our country, Tonbo is doing that and also exporting that with ease...
Siddharth Singh if you go to the official channel of tonbo imaging, there you will find an interview of its founder, who's name I don't remember at this moment... He himself tells it....
Yes all these are just assembled in India. I have seen the I terview of the founder they use vox thermal sensor. and the body of it is obviously made in china
@@shrikanthmanohar2417
Did you assume the the body is made in China ?
These are weapon-mountable thermal sights and thus process heavy weather & vibration tolerance ,I don't know if Chinese made bodies can withstand such abuse .
I might be wrong .
Holy Jesus this is amazing
good work in progress
I hope Govt helps them grow.
HHTI Viedo output ka connector milsakta hai key ple contack no
Brother i m first to watch your this video
I would like to join this company.
happy diwali sir
Great boost for our defense. Keep Indigenization in defense. It's only the way to being strong.
Which company is this
Jay Khandwala TONBO
Can I buy those scope and thermal scope?
Rohan Mohanty for what
Do you own a firearm
And luckily in India you can't own large calliber guns
Why no new videos sir?
coming up soon. some never seen before stuff. thanks for your interest and patience.
Sandeep Unnithan Sir, really interested in the progress of the OFB 7.62 assault rifle.
Great!!
Damn.. Amazing.
Good to see private players in defence tech. Under make in India.
Amazing tech
It is so cool
Wow wow wow awesome
Bhai u have amazing content but ur camera work is not really stable
Try n improve on that
great job
quickly buy for army
its alrady have in army.
The parameters set by MOD is so high that most of the products don't pass the trials. So a product which other armies around the world have accepted ours might not not.
Wow
If the Indian govt provides the same environment and promotion the US govt does then India could become a top exporting nation. Sadly red tape, poor political vision and ministerial inertia stalls all enthusiasm and progress and often these companies will move overseas - India then ending up importing which could have been supplied in house!!
Francocallederivas
The Congress govt didn't permit private companies to make weapons in India.
Hindustan zindabad
spr
The technology is called flir or forward looking IR. Very old tech .it's so common that US police helicopter use it daily.
We are backward in innovative tech .
What we need is drones and not jawans using it as even terrorist have this tech. Do what US does using drone at high altitude or low orbit stationary satellites
Kudos to Tonbo who saw the void and is filling it avoiding silly death of jawans because some politicians find the war very profitable to buy more weapons from abroad at inflated rates be it Modi or Gandhi Sarkar
sabhi ek hi thaali mein khaatein Hain koi thoda thoda lambey samay tak italian Katha hai to koi Gujarati bhadve ko lekar ek Saath bahut french Khana khata hai.
Dino d modi don't do that..
But some of armed forces personal do...
Make in India
+1
