I know a lot about Weird Al, but I didn't know about this appearance. And this is terrific! Pat Sajak probably needed a hearing check after this interview.
In response to SSMProductions360: At 3:25, Weird Al does not drop the F-bomb. He was thinking and might have been ready to say "In fact, it was about 10 years ago". Or maybe he was going to say, "Five years ago," but realized it was actually "Ten". He's pretty clean. I've been watching a lot of Al on UA-cam this week; and I saw one of his concerts where his mother and father introduced him at the beginning of the show. He just oozes respect.
Weird Al posted on his youtube page a while ago a video recording of messages he left for Bermuda in 1985, and he said 'bitch', and it was even in context of a dog... and I was still blown away! Not offended in the least, just didn't think he knew those words!
Wow, there were still Beta units around in 1989? That's amazing. Too bad UHF came out during the Summer of 1989. What with Batman, Ghostbusters 2, and Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade out in theatres.
Me too! Wasn’t the guy from “Weekend at Bernie’s” on also? I think they did a bit with someone in the audience cause I made a brief appearance on tv in the background. 😆
There were so many off the wall 1980's personalities back in these days and all the interviewers were strickt stuffed shirts. I wonder how Elvira would have been treated by Pat (Wheel Of Fortune was my lucky break) Sajack?
"Ever since I was about ten years old I wanted to be on the Pat Sajak show."LOL
Al, you are the man!!

He is SUCH a personality, love him!!!!
"Every so often a woman on the east coast will mail herself to me in a box." --yeah that would be me. XD
I had never seen this before. So great! I was laughing almost the entire time while watching. Thanks so much for posting this!
I never even knew Pat Sajak had his own talk show! I hope Weird Al was also a contestant on a celebrity Wheel of Fortune as well.
Pat was genuinely delighted by the Mr. Frump song, heh heh.
weird al never losses character
Pat you should have mentioned it Eat It as well!!! The look on your face when you said I Lost On Jeopardy I love that!!!
haha, man... weird al was ON that night
Weird Al is awesome
that introduction LOL
I was going to watch the Pat Sajak Show but I was sick that day.

WOW 1ST ALBUM SONG!! EXCELLENT!
Why didn't he play the whole song of Mr. Frump? He should have talked about it more like how he came up with it.

Oh, my sides!!
🤣
actually, it goes "Stuck in a closet with vanna white, stuck in a closet with vanna white, night after night after night after night, all right."
Hmm. Anyone else think his voice has changed?
@jnby Back to the Future II did not launch until November.
I was at this recording.

@@wendybroome4872Wow! That's right. Kool and the Gang were on it and Michael Jackson, but not THAT Michael Jackson.
Wait??? There was another guy named Michael Jackson?

RIP Dan Miller
I think Sajak hated losing control for more than one second...one of the reasons he failed so hard at talk show host.
look up weird al on celebrity wheel of fortune. He glomps pat sajak when he wins the bonus round.
Is there an S, Pat?
Hey Pat, got an umlaut?
Maybe UHF would have done better if he gone on Carson or Arsenio instead
XD he's even funny on a talk show
heh yeah he reminds me of letterman
It happens to everyone.
Like getting old or molested by giraffe.
