The Wookie Bowcaster and TL-50 a.k.a. the Imperial Heavy Repeater were my favorite blasters in the game. Both in Outcast and Academy. The Bowcaster was often my go-to weapon in the game for it's power. And I love the TL-50's secondary fire. I often found myself spamming the alt. fire in Academy multiplayer. I feel like the TL-50 in Battlefront 2 can't compare to the one in Outcast and Academy. It's just... not as powerful to me. I feel like Iden Versio is the only one capable of utilizing the full power of the TL-50 in Battlefront 2. As for my lightsaber combat style choice, I favored the strong style.
From gameplay videos I've seen of EAfront 1&2 the TL-50 could at least hit a target. The Heavy Repeater was so innacurate and the projectiles so slow it felt useless. And you got it AFTER the lightsaber And clusters of enemies were less common than in Dark Forces and Jedi Knight so blasting with he AoE felt a bit less satisfying than the original concussion rifle. And it could be force pushed. After going back and experiencing the OG Concussion Rifle and Imperial Repeater their combined offspring feels really lackluster.
It's a shame none of the guns can hit the broad side of a fucking barn. The Heavy repeater is a goddamn disgrace compared to both the Imperial Repeater of Dark Forces/Jedi Knight and the original Concussion rifles (The re added concussion rifle in Academy sucked too but that was partly down to concussion blasts being succeptible to force push and so much of the game using dark jedi)
Ah! The times when you don't have to pay $200000000, your kidney, your house and your mom for enjoy a star wars game completely.
Good video bro
9:30 - And now we see the greatest weapon of them all... outer space
The Wookiee Bowcaster wall bounce is my favorite thing in this game.
The part at the end is priceless.
I miss that game

Exactly why I was here
I do NOT remember the Heavy Repeater firing that fast. Is it different on the GameCube version?
