The main difference in rentals at the moment between the two countries is that Ireland has about 1500 places for rent on Daft, and the NLs has 15000 on Funda.
Daft has all rentals pretty much, Funda only has a portion of rentals.
The Netherlands is half the size in terms of square km, but 3.6 times the population.
Apartment living is more popular in the Netherlands which helps.
Overall the rental market is worse in Ireland due to a low amount of housing and apartments.

Also the quality of accommodation in Ireland is pretty bad unless you're prepared to pay a lot.

While I can respect enjoying life in the heart of Amsterdam, getting a place a little further outside is not really a problem considering how well connected everything is. Even living in Amstelveen, Hoofddorp, Haarlem, Diemen or Zaandam and commuting to your workplace in Amsterdam is perfectly doable... especially if your company can provide with a transportation card (many do). I'm currently in a student residence complex in Hoofddorp and commute to Amsterdam Zuid almost every day.

If anyone knows my name, just Google it and my employment is right there. My income isn't much of a secret either, but if anyone asks I'll tell them there's no need for both of us to cry about it, before telling them. I'm in I.T. in California. Current Inflation is being driven up mostly by fuel prices,
If we switch to Nuclear power and give greater incentives to buy electric cars (including subsidising and prioritising lithium battery production) this problem will subside substantially over time.
Also, many countries are going for the practical short term measures of taxing fossil fuel company profits to discourage extortionate profiteering…
Overall though, Society’s rejection of Nuclear power was a massive mistake, and the environment has payed dearly for it as we continue to rely on fossil fuels for our electricity.

Perhaps the previous comment which was referred to in the video about English was misinterpreted and incorrectly construed as a slight, a jibe or insult. The domination of any language removes the essence of cultural identity and promotes societal homogenisation. If you speak two other languages, as I do, there remains the hope that the art of conversation must never deflate to the depths of the slough of despondency.
