You missed a lot not knowing Ireland living in Dublin. This country is actually beautiful outside the capitol. Breath taking landscape like nowhere ☺️ come back and visit. You will be amazed! Anyway, great video! Congrats.
Wow well you missed a trick, there is far more to Ireland than just Dublin. Belfast, Cork, Galway and country side. I moved here in 2006 and love it. It is home, I live in the Midlands so it's easy to see Dubin and Galway on a day trip. I love small town Ireland and knowing the locals, having a car really opens up the country, North Mayo and the ring of Kerry are also a favourite of mine. Do come back and remember the weather is so changeable because we are an island in the Atlantic ocean.
Thank you so much. I am considering to move to Dublin for 1 year and working for tech company. I think now after I watched this video, I know much more about how it going to be. I am decided yet
what part? housing crisis? racism against Asian? I agree her videos are beautiful but it's like watching billionaires talking about to touring the world
We can't change the weather but if the city planners/officials did a better job managing/maintaining the place, the government fast tracked ALL transport projects e.g. new metro, luas extension, dart underground, busconnects etc and unregulated the night-time economy e.g. got rid of the bar/nightclub licencing hours (they close too early), more 24 hr transport services, more police etc. Plus sort out the lack of affordable apartments/houses/flats. Then Dublin would be a great place to live because it has great potential. (Incompetent officials) I'm from Dublin and totally agree with ur observation. Amsterdam is better and more livable. They say if the Dutch lived in Ireland they could feed the world. If the Irish lived in Holland it would be under water
I disagree with you, being a fellow Celt from Cardiff and just recently coming back from Dublin, I think Dublin has done a tremendous job of marketing itself and celebrating its identify. It puts Cardiff to shame. Don't get my wrong I love my home city but we could learn so much from Dublin! The English for centuries has downtrodden the Celts, everywhere in Dublin you can see the struggle and suffering it had under the English and how it has freed itself. I just hope Wales and for sure Scotland can get its independence from the English and forge our own way. Of course Dublin could do more, we can always improve. But considering the oppression it has come from, it has done an amazing job and it will only grow and get better in the future!!
I recently got a job offer from Dublin hahaha but the salary was too low.. its a shame because I want to work abroad! Great to see you back on UA-cam :)
thanks for the video! I am moving to Dublin in September and would love to know where you recommend living. I am 21 years old, college graduate, love to go out on the weekends, but also love the outdoors/running outside/taking walks. Thanks!!
I used to live in Dublin too, and honestly... I hated it! hihih Same as you, I had/have great friends over there...Open the doors, etc.. but I didint like at all! Hope youre doing well!
Hi. I am an European professional in Mexico looking to move to Ireland precisely because of the language and the professional opportunities you mention in your video. I have also considered and researched Amsterdam as a destination, but ultimately me and my wife decided to move to Dublin because of the language (she is a physician and really needs to speak the national language). I also know that Amsterdam also has a living crisis. Then, my question is, for living: which one do you prefer and why: Amsterdam or Dublin? Thank you in advance.
Hi, thanks for watching! I have just posted a video comparing between living in Dublin vs living in Amsterdam, you can check it out, it’s very detailed
After 1 year you wrote this comment. Finally which one? Did you move dublin or amsterdam? My husband and i have a same question 😅 . Actually we prefer dublin like you bekaz of language. ( english is our second language)
Did you live in Dublin during pandemic or before? Before pandemic it was definitely more fun, there was nothing to do during it, but things should get better going forward!
Not as bad as Dublin tho! Although I feel tricked. Last year was my first summer in the Netherlands and it was amazing so I was like "wow the weather here is great, I don't understand why people say it's bad!" and then this summer it rained ALL .THE. TIME 😭😂 Do you live in the Netherlands?
Whenever I had the time to travel I chose to go outside of Ireland because the travel destinations within Ireland didn’t appeal to me. That’s a personal preference, not a problem 🙂
Haha it’s kind of odd/funny watching this video where I can see my flat when you’re on google street view in Rathmines 😅 I live like right beside Blackbird so I also go to that lidl and that Aldi 😂 Crazy to see also how much the city changed since this video! And I also agree, flats are crap in Dublin. For the same price I pay with my wife here in Dublin for a one bedroom appartment, we could get a 2 bedroom appartment in Montreal where I’m from.
Yeah housing in Dublin is still awful. I’ve been living here for 4 years for my Bachelors (lived in other parts of Ireland throughout my life) and now im moving to Paris for a Masters and a cheaper place to live (yeah not joking). Not only is the housing expensive and basically nonexistent, everything is expensive from alcohol to transport.
The annual rainfall in Amsterdam is 844 mm | 33.2 inch. The annual rainfall in Dublin is 750mm | 29.5 inch. I bet you found Amsterdam as boring as Dublin. 😒
It does rain a lot in Amsterdam, which totally sucks, but the city itself is much more livable than Dublin. Rain is just one factor. Living in a beautiful, efficiently managed city creates an overall better experience
I only skimmed this (I'll watch it later because I'm at work :/ ), but it's been nearly 10 years since I've been to Ireland. I got to pay another visit. The pandemic, though, has created a lot of hoops to travel internationally, so I haven't really been trying. :(
Amazing video! Can you please do a video focused on jobs and tech industry as well? Your advice really helped me when I chose bocconi and I feel like that type of content would be really helpful.
Thanks for watching, and I am so happy my advice was of help to you when choosing Bocconi! That is a great idea, I've been wanting to make a video about finding a job, writing a cv, interviewing in general, but a focus on the tech industry could be very helpful! Thanks ❤️
Thanks for the video. I wonder how you'd compare Italy and Ireland, since you've lived in both places. To me, it looks like what you shared at 12:30 is not the case for Italy, right? Which of these two countries would you say is better to live in?
They are very different. To LIVE - Italy, to WORK - Ireland. There are very few jobs opportunities in Italy (especially if you’re not Italian) and the salaries are very low comparing to northern Europe
I agree with most of your point Dublin about d but 'it looks like the suburbs'. So you don't like old and characterful buildings just sky scrapers? 'It's boring', I thought you said you had good nights out with colleagues? Also life is what you make it, if you don't join things or have hobbies then life will be boring everywhere. Dalkey, killarney? Such a shame you didn't visit anywhere else in Ireland!! Like the causeway coast or Galway etc., Irish history is so interesting. Also if you think the rain will melt you then you will never go out.
Hi! Loved the video so much, so positive!! It really hyped me up because I am moving to Dublin in September for my master's degree. I would love some recommendation on where to live. Currently I am looking into student residence but I am not sure about it 100%. P.D: If somebody is moving to dublin next year and/or studies at TCD hmu!

Good luck! 🍀
Hi! may I ask if you know any website where foreigners can apply work at tech company in dublin? I am from another country and want to work in Dublin. thank you!
I loved you and your way vlogging I am also vlogging (but in Arabic) I am interested in living there and getting an opportunity at one of the greatest companies so you helped me a lot and I thank you for this cute video I wish you to read this ♥️
Hi there :) I am not sharing the specific company name as I consider this personal information, same as I wouldn’t share my home address. However, what I described in this video applies to most tech companies in Dublin
I don’t even know what my accent is anymore, I feel like it’s getting worse by the day 😂😂 certainly not Russian tho, I don’t ever use Russian anymore and when I do my accent is not “proper” Russian accent either

Left Dublin twice and hates cooking!!!
Amsterdam also has bad and unpredictable weather
