Great vid, and that rig works a treat for me too. Cheers.
Great video, Ed. Nothing better than having a spot to yourself, breathing in the salt air and finishing the day with a few nice fish for the pan.
Enjoyed every moment of it and there is nothing better than snapper for the table.
Great awesome video Ed!
Interesting clip. I have fished that spot (not posting where but it is getting more known. track up and over has just been re done btw). Funnily enough I too have never had much success with Cunje there but have done well on fresh white bread sliced into rectangles with a running sinker very close in for the drummer. Burley with the crusts, sand and left over bread. Seeing you know where we are talking about try fishing off the point on the north side of the gutter where you did your clip with the blackfish. It is a low swell spot at high tide and you fish at your feet. You will need 30lb line and the drag locked up. No finesse involved just a good old-fashioned arm wrestle. Even so you may get wrecked lol. Let me know how you go. Like any fishing, they are either there or not. Come prepared to fish for other species just in case.
Thanks for the info. Cheers.
It's beautiful, my friend
Thank you! Cheers!
Another great video, Ed. Thanks again and keep em coming mate. Cheers
Thanks 👍
Great video Ed. Looks like a great location. Keep up the great work, your videos never disappoint.
Thanks Dave 👍
Great vid thankyou
Glad you enjoyed it
hi mate - awesome video. Is this near CHB? I frequent that spot heaps for drummer / luderick but never targeted Snapper there before. Might give it a go next time.
I’ve still got a pair of those god awful plastic “KayDee?” sandals, with stainless steel self-tappers screwed into the lugs on the sole, had em for years. Christ they are/were uncomfortable to wear, and a little bit dangerous (feet slide around in them) to wear on the rocks. I upgraded to a pair of zip up wetsuit boots that come with rock fishing spikes embedded in the soles. Best things since sliced bread, and compared to wearing the plastic KayDee’s it’s like having a foot massage 😀. Good vid 👍🏻
I hear ya...lol. I know what you mean. This was the first time that I had to drag them out in about 20 years and I didn't love it. I also have the zip up boots with spikes but couldn't fit them in the bag and I needed my hiking boots for the long walk. Putting them on certainly brought back memories and I don't know how I wore them all day long back then!
@@letsgofishing3249 don’t get me started on Dunlop volleys and bolt on cleats 😀it’s a shame, because other than the drawbacks mentioned, those sandals are easy and compact to lug overland and the gripping power on the rocks isn’t too bad. Nice looking ledges you were fishing, I’m in Ballina these days, rock fishing platforms are few and far between
Spot looks familiar 😳
Hi Brother… Where is this Spot please ??? 🎣👍
It's in the the central coast
@@letsgofishing3249 where central
@@letsgofishing3249 thanks for not being specific mate. People need to do their own research like we have
@@rodnette3 I agree.
What is your rod and reel set up?
I made the rod myself its a 10 1/2 foot rod with a 6 inch Alvey
Speaking of careful , although it wasn't rough seas , where's your life vest , isn't it compulsory.
What makes you think that I am not wearing one when I was fishing? You can clearly see I'm wearing my life vest when rigging up and burling.
No, it's not ....... compulsory. We have freedom of choice.
