That's another point I like about these games you can make almost every weapon work its awesome. If you really like how a weapon feels then there is usually some sort of build to make it good.
I will be playing the DLC hoping I have the time to squeeze it into the next video. Even if its not in the next video I will be making some sort of content whether it warrants a video of its own or just a short I'll figure out when time comes.
The thing about ds3 bosses (and ds3 combat in general), which sets them (it) apart from, say, Elden Ring (in a good way) is that they are intuitively understandable. Some perceive it as them being “easy”, I would say it makes them fun to “dance” with. You cannot dance with Elden Ring bosses, you just have to hammer their moveset into your brain time and time again or use a bunch of buffs to pull off a one hit kill. I don’t like this philosophy. I much prefer ds3 and it’s approach to fights.
Thats a huge point actually. I think for the Abyss Watchers fight it did feel like an actual dance especially the second phase and that's why I still found it fun although easy. I do think there are some fights in Elden Ring that can still apply the dancing philosophy.
@@DangerNe38 thank you! You will enjoy the hell out of the rest of the bosses this game has to offer, I’ll tell you that much:) which fight in ER, would you say, has the dance philosophy to it? I can think of a few in the dlc - sure, but the dlc is basically dark souls IV in terms of the music, the atmosphere, the fights - the whole approach
@@sablepaul441 I'm very excited for the rest of the game and as for the bosses I had in mind, I was thinking of the dlc lol. I had the rellana fight in mind which I loved and the dancing lion also felt like it had an amazing rhythym to it and I think the messmer fight was also a very fun dance. But I can see arguments for them not being dance like lol.
@@DangerNe38 these are my favorite fights in the whole game, lol. They are almost perfect, they are ds3 fights. The music is phenomenal, the moveset is varied and fair. It’s all about the timings. They actually move naturally, they can be understood and beaten without just memorizing their whole moveset and each individual off beat attack, like in base game. Rellana is literally Pontiff, btw. The lion is similar to the wolf from the Ariandel DLC. Messmer is unique, but feels very much like dragonslayer armour from later on in ds3. So yeah, we’ve got the same fights in mind. Only Godfrey and Radagon are even coming close to the same level. Though they, too, have many intentionally devious attacks. Lots of words, I know, I’m sorry, I just yap a lot, when the topic is interesting
@@sablepaul441 Yea I love the dlc fights I think Messmer was my favorite in the entire dlc that fight was just perfect imo. After fighting pontiff yeah rellana is extremely similar but I also noticed in the rellana fight she is a lot more aggressive with more showboaty moves similar to Dancer of Boreal Valley so I think she happens to be like a mix of them. What Im noticing so far in ds3 is the bosses seem to have a lot more character to them within the actual arenas, music and thematics of the fights.
@@DangerNe38 brother i died 9 times to deacons of the deep i lost all my flexing points hahaah... and what makes it worse is that ive beaten ds1 3 times and ds2 2 times before xD
I remember when ds3 came out and all the "influencer streamers" were playing it and couldn't get past gundyr. Glad fromsoft didn't simplify elden ring because of him lmao
Yes I am alive. Yes this video is super late... Hopefully going to be back to the weekly schedule with occasional shorts this week though!
I did the whole game withh just the Great Axe lol, but it was much more satisfying to hit enemies than in elden ring or sekiro

Great video from a great creator can’t wait to see more!!!!!!!!!!!
cant wait to see what you think about the later bosses in the game as they only get better
Im really excited Pontiff, Yhorm and Abyss Watchers set a high bar and Im hoping it only goes up from there.
are you doing the DLC too? i would love to see you beat the true final boss

I died 69 times to pontiff and im not kidding 😭 although i dont use parrying
Honestly I respect that. Some people find it embarrassing to have crazy high attempts but I take pride in it lmao. Also more respect for not parrying

if u thnek the densety of enemys are to mutch try ds 2 the remasterd version

Thank god they didn't change anything getting stuck on Gundyr is kinda crazy. If they nerfed the games because of him it would be a breeze.
1:04 it's pronounced more like /ju:dεks/ (yoodex) but the other one is fine too :)
Ohhh I see it now that makes sense! Thanks for the tip!
haha i always pronounced it "Eye-you-dex"
