I loved the Queenslayer bloodcode! I ended up using that for a majority of my playthrough when I got it as long as I was still using a dex weapon. Before that though I was rocking the Prometheus code for a long time as well!
No clue who you are lol but nice review...imma sub now and think about playing code vein again(i stopped at the desert area). You have some great quality in your videos already, i wish you luck on your youtube journey!
@@fishticles5 I don't have any other channels this is my first but I wouldn't be surprised if there were other people with a similar character. If I ever seen someone with the same character I would change it I just haven't found any yet!
after playing Elden Ring, Bloodborne and DS2 (mainly Elden Ring though i got a into Bloodborne too) I see the Dark Souls vibes in the movement and structures i think I can now fully enjoy this game then i did before, probably have a lot more fun with it too
I feel like if i didn't have any souls experience playing this game honestly might've been a nightmare lol. Without any of the souls-like basic knowledge a lot of the game would probably feel a lot different to say the least. Definitely worth playing!
1:40 the Minimap that marks the Path you tread comes handy here, very much everyone has problems with that area and i think it's because they forget/ignore the minimap and map 3:40 pretty sure that's a Bug, he never turned invisible for me at least 6:25 in Moments like this it's good to know that blocking in this Game exists and is useful 7:53 people apparently don't know how to fight that Boss (since every one tries to rush down one before attacking the other), unlike Ornstein & Smough you are not supposed to only focus on one of them, they switch duelling between you and your Partner periodically, so you actually are not supposed to fight them at the same time or rush down one then the other but instead having a Duel with the one that fights you right now until they switch wile the same goes for your Partner, that's the best how i could describe it (i'm not good with words & explanation) over all good Video💚👍 (i'm also curious what Ending you got: Bad, Neutral or Good?)
Oh wow, well I guess I know all of this for another play through down the road lol. And if that invisibility is a bug that's kind of disappointing because it was a cool mechanic! And I got the neutral ending because I missed 2 of the successors because I simply didn't know at the time.
@@DangerNe38 another thing: while holding the drain-Attack of the Ivy-Type-Bloodveils you can with WASD/Left Stick control where the Blades shoot out, good as an ambush opener and the Combo-drain-Attack is also good but the Ivy-Types are also the most tricky to parry with the best Blocking Weapons are i think the Zweihänder(Great Sword) & Dämmerung(Halbert)
@@dasunersattliche9076 I just got back on to try it and I can't believe I missed that. I thought the drain attack was just clunky but that makes way more sense.
Call me a masochist but I actually enjoyed getting lost on the Cathedral area (first half before the memory section, second half was more annoying), I think it's because I love the visual design of the place, it's such a nice change from the post-apocalyptic landscapes
Ah yes the invisible knight is due to having your screen at high ghz which actually also affects some elevators and makes you stuck there for like five minutes before it moves.
@@DangerNe38 yeah for the elevators if you alt tab then go back in then it goes up without having to wait but you’ll have to do it for each that get stuck like that.
@@DangerNe38 My first time took 5 hours. Some UA-cam, lots of backtracking. My most recent time took a little under 2 hours, no UA-cam, mostly knew where to go. This is me grabbing everything, people have gone through it in about 20 minutes. The map layout is varied enough to be learnt, I just wish it was varied in visuals instead of just the same white decoration on the same walls, rooms and paths the entire damn area.
love to see you come back to this game. Request for other videos, if possible i'd love to see elden ring, minecraft, subnautica which are personally my favorite games. Other than that keep up the great work and ill be waiting for your next one
I play Dark souls games and a lot of souls like games. I would label Code Vein as a "Flawed Masterpiece". I loved it, but I can see a lot of flaws in the game that are a bit annoying.
I got every achievement for this game on steam and it was torture. To me this game was just ok - if I wasn't obsessed with completing every achievement for games I buy, I would've only played through this once and never touch it again. It reminded me a lot of DS1 where the maps, enemies and combat were all a bit dull. If this game had come out at around the same time as DS1 then I would've forgiven a lot of its design but for the year it was released, this felt really lackluster. I'd give this game a 6/10
I respect the dedication to getting all the achievements that's crazy. I think that's a very fair review this game does lack a lot of polish in the enemies and combat, I just ended up really liking the cheesy characters so the game was still enjoyable!
I haven't gotten all the coins, but have every other achievement. After the first playthrough which was challenging, it was fun experimenting on the next two playthroughs. Also, the maze area gets a lot easier to navigate... because you've done it before.
This game can't play like dark soul, you need to often use you gift to make your life easier. The enemy hit box is really wonky if compare to dark soul.
Yeaaaa that's my bad, I only found out about the depths after I finished all my recording for the video so I decided to just leave it out and focus on the main areas of the game. And I haven't heard of challenge towers so I must've missed them somewhere!
I had to go check because it's been a while, but they're special depths maps unlocked after the final boss. if you get your ending and choose not to go to NG+, when you get back to the home base their maps are sitting on Louis' desk I've also realized i got the name wrong, they're called the Towers of Trials.
I love Code Vein. My favorite blood code was by far Queenslayer. That high-risk, high-reward playstyle was like crack to me.

In the O&S Bossfight you have to switch between Frosty and Pyro tepending in there Aggro to you this makes the fight more enjoyable
Nice video we need more guides i played the game this week it looks cool and enjoyable
Oh... Hate to burst your bubble, but the invisible Knight battle was 100% a glitch. Never happened to me across my many playthroughs.
Yea I realize now that it was a bug but I was genuinely excited about it! And thought it helped the fight lol.
@@DangerNe38 I will admit that it was kind of funny to see.
I had the same glitch. Fucking ANNOYING 😂

He turns invisible, if you have fps set above 60. It breaks a lot physics in general. Like elevators appearing stuck.

I agree with the cathedral being annoying even with the map and multiple playthroughs I still got lost.
Absolutely that place is a nightmare to traverse!

Fair I did struggle a lot forcing it to play like dark souls. It certainly is possible but yeah the gifts and other mechanics feel pretty necessary.

No depths exploration?

or especially the challenge towers, those things are hilariously malicious.

No, I didn't find the fight difficult really. But in these games everyone should find different bosses difficult! That's what shows good boss design!
@@DangerNe38 true, neither did i but everyone and their mother told me he was one of the hardest bosses.
