We must thank SNK for V. Ken. They cooked him up and introduced him in SVC Chaos. Awesome character.
It was biased to introduce a martial art that has an evil side, and it somehow didn't affect all practitioners. A bit sue-ish for Ryu. Thank you SNK for remembering Ken fell for the evil side first in the 95 movie.

@@jenn5628 He did, kinda. Violent Ken is based off Brainwashed Ken from the movie. In fact, Brainwashed Ken is his (original) name in the Japanese version IIRC.

@@kaliguladx4085 Of course, in the monitors of those days cp2 sprites looked quite nice. The HD graphics of these new versions look kind of weird, they don't seem to be apropiate for this kind of game, and the animations look faltering. Too many frames in the modern devices 🤣

Ive remember the first time ive choose ken for a fighter
Back on those early years i found him as the rude and aggresive fighter
the type of fighter that has no fear and never back down.
The opposite side of ryu.
Those were the qualities that make him my favorite character
Now after 25 years ive found a more violent fighter.

Violent Ken’s debut in gaming was “SNK vs Capcom Chaos” or “SVC” for short and Capcom basically threw him into Ultra SF2
And after all these years, they are still making Street fighter two lol.

Wow these updated graphics are AWESOME IMO!!! I'm loving watching these much more detailed and vibrant graphics of the backdrops of each stage that I used to enjoy so much playing this game as a kid on my SNES!!

I find it is improved over SSF2TR on 360/PS3, the animation was really jerky on those platforms and is smoother on Switch but still not brilliant due to the lack of frames of animation obviously. Still prefer the classic graphics option myself but great to have the choice.
They used the UDON Sprites from HD Remix but fixed the Hit Boxes, HD Remix was a pain to play if you used UDON Sprites that’s why most players switched back
The voices are crisp and it mimics the frantic gameplay from the 90s

I know the U.S.S.R. disbanded on Dec. 26, 1996, but I just wish they would have kept it as U.S.S.R. for Zangief. “Russia” doesn’t sound good in any version of Street Fighter II.
Love how the fights have been spliced together to make it look like a continuous run! The score gives it away after every fight. Also the Ryu intro shows Ryu in his orange palette but appears a different colour altogether.

Look at his score after a round ends. Then watch the bonus come up for round round completion. Add those together. Compare the result to the score at the start of the next round...
There is an edit where Ryu very beginning starts with orange then a cut to the grey version... I'm assuming the first time he lost.

I love the playthroughs when the player actually loses/gets damage. It's not pleasurable for ME, when they just get perfects throughout the whole thing.
Hell yeah that shit is annoying, I also hated the once that would have to spam to get a comeback.

@@louregal99 well it just means they do something repeatedly that is cheap, for instance the ryu and ken hadoken and doing that a lot or in MK 1 where the leg sweep can be repeated for an easy victory. Another one that annoyed me was in the smackdown vs raw game you Irish whip your opponent to the barricades and keep doing the grab move and it slams them on it and you can keep doing it with out a reversal.

It would be nice to see more animation frames in this version of the game, but in general the game is good.
I agree for the backgrounds, but if they added in-between frames for the fighters it would drastically change the feel and pace of the combat.
If I'm not mistaken, did they make his tatsumaki deal more damage on block than on hit!? That's pretty insane- it reminds me of old-school spinning bird kick. I also like how it makes him change direction in mid-air

Je kiffe les vieux sons Shoryuken et hadouken de Ryu, ils sont trop excellents à entendre. Dans Super Turbo HD remix il manque à Vega le fait de pouvoir monter sur les grillages du stage de l'Espagne et obtenir Violent Ken sinon c'est sensiblement le même jeu ultra jouissif 👍.
Just so everyone knows, Violent Ken and Sennou Sareta (Brainwashed) Ken are two completely different characters, as are Evil Ryu, Kagé, and Satsui no Hadou ni Mezameta Ryu.

Ken es mi personaje favorito tmb, Ken va hacia el objetivo hasta matarlo, tiene mucha fuerza y agilidad pero Ryu es mas calmado y calculador, sus golpes son concretos, duros con mucho poder. Naci en 1990 juego SF desde los 7 años. Saludos desde Perú!
