    I think the Blaster will win, the 300ex will pull on top and they will both walk the Lakota all the way around. My buddy had 2 Lakotas when we were young and they are dependable and take a beating. We sank one rode it home about 15 miles with the crankcase full of water and it just took it. He also stayed on the Rev limiter riding fludded ditches.

    From personal experience I've found that reverse bleeding those masters works nice. At least the few I've done on my sleds. Get a section of hose and siphon some brake fluid up into the hose. Put it on the open bleeder and put some pressure in the hose. It will push the air up through the return hole in the master. Air naturally goes up so it bleeds quicker as well. Had a dry master to a bled system in under 5 minutes that way

    Regarding the front brake master cylinder, check and make sure the little teeny hole isn't plugged up. It's just like a pilot jet, it gets clogged super easy and that will cause too much pressure but not allow it to build pressure. If it's not clogged then the seals are bad. Super sick looking bro. Can't wait to see the blaster too👍👍

    I found out that originally carb measurements were measured by slide width but after the Chinese carbs flooded the market they stupidly started measuring from the airbox side. It makes sense because enlarging the slide would surly mean more air. I think adding a few mm on the intake side wouldn’t do much as the slide is still what’s restricting air flow would only make a different at full throttle if you think about it 😂 any way damn pot metal shite

    I feel like if Kawi brought this atv back {like they did with the KLX 300 models} with the racks easy to take off it would sell really good, being really cheap and sporty. A lot of guys really prefer these smaller lighter atvs that fit in back of trucks for ice fishing, hunting and its still sporty enough to trail ride. I recently bought a Brute Force 300 for that reason and it reminded me of my old Lakota and Bayou, but that motor has a lot more grunt and its mainly a Kymco.

    You can use diesel fuel, harbor freight sells gallon size jugs of wd40 you can use in the ultrasonic also and it lasts probably long enough to clean 100 carbs or more. Dish soap and hot water doesn’t work bad but the absolute best thing to break down grease and oil is MORE GREASE AND OIL lol anything petroleum based works amazing but you should try the diesel or wd40, I actually use it in my parts washer. It costed me $250 to fill my parts washer but it’s lasted years and works amazing

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  Рік тому +1

      Good point that it will last years - makes the overall cost worth it IMO

      @@MichaelSabo for sure, I know some guys who use gasoline in there parts washer….. I couldn’t imagine risking my whole shop burning down over that lol I’ll stick with diesel or wd40. Glad you made the comment about using degreaser. I’ve gotten so many bikes in to work on that had the engine cases and wheels just completely ruined because people use purple power or other degreasers without reading the label that clearly says do not use on soft metals and aluminum. It turns a nasty color and leave’s corrosion spots all over, I still use it but I make sure I scrub it down thoroughly and spray with wd or use polish on it after. Sorry for the long comment but dude I just want to say again that I’m so unbelievably happy for you and your channel finally getting the traffic it deserves. You’ve made some awesome changes, upped the quality and learned a lot over the last year or two, I cannot wait to see you hit a million before 2023 is over

    Yeah those hydrosonic machines are bomb!!! I used the simple green extreme aircraft cleaner. Works the best and isn’t caustic to the aluminum. And I’ve tried them all 😂Great content as always

      A lot of there products are. I learned that the hard way when the carb came out almost black. But that specific product doesnt flash the aluminum. Try it out and let me know what you think. Also a squirt of dawn with the SG works wonders.

    Anything can beat anything, if modded.. 2-strokes are more affordable to mod. I'd mod the blaster full port n polish, 34mm intake and carb. 10.6:1 compression piston and gear up a tooth taller up front, then put 22 inch tires out Back and 23x7 up front. With that set up the little blaster will go from 55mph to almost 70mph. On my daughter's Yamaha blaster I also worked transfer ports and head, kept oil injection just installed on new carb. Also changed rear sprocket went down a little for more top end. It still takes my brother's Polaris scrambler 400 2-stroke 4x4 in a drag race. Dennis Rantanen at DR Motors helped me with the build, from thief river falls mn. He is a absolute wizard with 2-stroke machines, his cousin Dave has a machine shop he use to work for black magic making custom 2-stroke snowmobile mods. Down the street is northern crankshaft in thief river falls. They still have a old cases on hand for zrt I believe that they built for the triple snowmobile engine so total displacement is 1850cc on the thundercat 2-stroke motor. If you can dream it the people up there can build it. Even custom case's and crankshafts,, so if you have a sleeper snowmobile with 2-1000cc 2-stroke motors put together with one crankshaft. Call them they are found on line and in the phone book.

    Awesome Video lil Bro! I am actually looking at getting a Lakota to flip right now. Watching this build is helping me understand a little about it As I have never been around a Lakota. The brake problem you have seems to me as a break down in the seals in the master cylinder but I am only taking a stab in the dark here, Please keep us updated! As usual, Bangin' AF ! I think you got the Top Quad with this one!

      The seals appeared to be in good shape (typically I don't re-use them, but I didn't have new ones on hand) Hopefully they build pressure but if not, I will order new seals. The task is now in the hands of @breweroffroad lol
