Galleys and Galleons in battle: Zakynthos 2nd - AAR using the Galleys & Galleons rules

- A new game of our 1716 campaign based on the VII Ottoman-Venetian War. This time a naval combat in front of the port of Zacint played with the Galleys & Galleons rules.
You can have more details about the campaign in our referee's blog, Lluís Vilalta: defiant-principality.blogspot...
A very long video, a game with many ships... and many galleys, almost all of them built and painted by me. At the end of the video you have a summary with the figures used, the ones with wooden base are by Lluís, the ones with plastic base are mine.
I still use the Vidnoz AI voice to narrate my videos. It's the free version, but I still think it's convincing, don't you?

What a pleasure to look at your splendid ships (most beautiful close views!) moving and fighting, as always...big like!
Thank you, very appreciated!
This must be one of the more complex table top war games I've ever seen 😅 beautiful models, though, and your video has great production value. Thanks for showing it, godspeed and have a lot of fun with your hobby in the future as well!
It is actually a game in which the turn is resolved quickly. The mechanics are simple, and the only thing that needs annotations are the individual rules of each ship, which allow a lot of customization although at the end of the day you always choose a few. From the modifiers in the combats it may seem that there are many, but they are almost always the same and the possible outcomes very few. They are always exciting battles! Thanks for your kind comment.
Great rep. That campaign system looks very interesting too!
Thank you!
A return to the sea. Wonderful, just wonderful! Honors to the Venetian Admiral. Sailing between enemy galleys is not for the faint of heart, but may well have dictated the outcome of the battle. These sea games are always a joy to watch!! Do it again. . . , and thanks.
Yes, long time no naval games, and this one was exciting to the end. Thanks for your visit and your comment!
I enjoy each and every one of your videos!
Thanks I appreciate it!
This was fantastic, I would definitely game with you guys... Fantastic AAR and those rules are worth a re read me thinks arrrr! Pirates ☠️🏴
Ha ha! It's great to be able to share these gaming moments with literally the whole planet thanks to YT. It's certainly worth playing a game! Thanks for your comment
That Wilhelm scream was awesome.
Yeaaaah!
Coi, no sé com te les has arreglat, però sembla una batalla molt digna des del punt de vista otomà!! I mira que jugant-la em va semblar horrible... 😄
Jo crec que podia haver anat millor, però des de la banda veneciana va costar
Are those Langton ships?
They are not Langton, we use a mix of different brands and even handmade. If you go until minute 22:52 you will see the manufacturer and model of each miniature.
Ha i just started penobscot bay with the sails o glory rules...unlike in real life the Americans will have to fight their way out against the wind..though they outnumber with their 7 ships against the 5 heavy British line ships ...their outgunned by 70 cannon.
Ship miniatures games are always rewarding... I wish you lots of fun
